Kaia
"Kaia," I hear someone calling me. "Kaia! Wake up!" My shoulder is pushed. "Kaia!"
My eyes open and I blink, trying to adjust my eyes to the dark room.
Once my vision has unblurred, Abel's face comes into view.
"Abel?" I ask. "What's wrong?"
"Get up," he whispers.
"Why?" I want to know. "Abel, I'm tired. Come to bed." I tap the space beside me before turning to face my back towards him, trying to fall back to sleep.
"Kaia," Abel says again, shaking me. "Baby, come on. Get up, please."
Sighing, I get up and watch as he walks towards the wardrobe and grabs a jumper and jeans for me to wear.
"Put these on," he tells me, throwing them on the bed.
I groan. "Abel, I'm too tired to," I say, eyes half opened.
Abel smiles and walks towards me. He sits on the edge of the bed and starts to undress me.
"Where are we going anyway?" I want to know as I raise my arms for him to pull off my t-shirt.
Abel doesn't say anything. He grabs the jumper and puts it on me before kissing my lips quickly. "It's a surprise," he tells me. "But it involves a plane and another city."
Smiling, I grab the jeans and climb out the covers, pulling down my shorts.
Abel's eyes land on my bare legs and he bites down on his bottom lip. His hands brush against my legs and I shiver at the contact.
Making sure that I don't get too lost in the feeling of him touching me, I quickly pull my jeans on.
"What do I need to pack?" I ask, twisting my fingers through his hair.
"I've already packed, baby," Abel tells me, pulling me closer to him and looking up at me from the bed.
I grin. "You must've had this planned for ages, huh?" I tell him and he smiles at me.
Abel pulls me even more closer to him and rests his head on my stomach, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I love you so much, Kaia," he murmurs. "I love you both." He places a kiss on my stomach.
I feel my heart stop for a second, remembering what happened earlier tonight with Abel.
He was so convinced that this baby is Lamar's. And angry. It really scared me, especially when he said that he wanted to hurt me.
As soon as he said those words, I had to get away from him as quickly as possible, since he hit me the last time. I didn't want that to happen again.
After I opened the door for Abel, he kept apologising and crying and I felt my heart shattering into pieces at the sight of him breaking down.
"I love you too, Abel," I whisper, pushing his chest and making him fall backwards onto the bed before carefully climbing on top of him. I brush my lips against his carefully. "I love you so much, Abel," I murmur against his lips.
"Really?" Abel asks, looking up at me with sad eyes.
I stroke his cheek. "Yes," I tell him. "You're like oxygen, Abel, I can't live without you."
"That's cheesy as fuck, Kaia," Abel chuckles.
I giggle. "I know," I say. "But it's true." I kiss him again, smiling against his lips.
I quickly climb off him and grab a thin jacket from the wardrobe, pulling it on.
Abel gets up too and walks towards me, placing his hands on my waist. "You seem like you want to say something else," he tells me.
I comb my fingers through my hair, sighing. "I do," I answer, but don't tell him what I want to say because I'm scared how he'll react.
"Well?" Abel pushes.
I stop fiddling with my hair and look up at him with serious eyes. "You'll never leave me, will you?" I ask in a small voice.
Abel frowns. "And why the hell would I do that?" he demands, looking at me with a confused expression.
I bite my lip and place my hands on his back, rubbing circles in a calming motion. "I don't know . . ." I start to say before trailing off. I sigh. "What you said tonight, about me cheating on you -"
"Let's not talk about that, okay?" Abel says, grabbing my hand and leading me towards the door.
"No, Abel!" I protest, stopping in my tracks. "I need to talk about this." He turns around and lets out an exasperated sigh. I lick my lips before speaking again. "I feel like one day you'll leave me because of thinking that I've cheated on you."
Abel shakes his head. "I won't," he tells me. He closes the space between us and cradles my face. "I'm sorry I keep accusing you of cheating, okay? I know that you love me and I know that there's no way you'd do that to me. I'm sorry I keep bringing it up. It won't happen again, I promise."
I lean my forehead against Abel's chest and he starting trailing his fingers through my hair. "Okay," I whisper.
"And I'm sorry for scaring you like that," Abel carries on. "I shouldn't have chased you, especially since you have my baby in you."
I nod and lean up to kiss his cheek. "It's okay," I say. "Let's put all of this behind us, okay?" I grab his hand and start walking towards the door. "We're not going to talk about this again."
"Sounds good to me," Abel says before scooping me up in his arms and walking down the stairs.
"So, you really aren't going to give me a hint about where we're going?" I ask with a pout.
Abel chuckles. "No," he says into my ear. He bites down at my earlobe and a moan escapes my lips. Abel chuckles and does it over and over again, causing me to squeal.
We reach the front door and I notice both of our luggages.
Abel puts me down and I turn to look at him. "How long are we leaving for?" I question, but he doesn't answer me. "Abel?" I click my fingers in his face. "Abel?"
Why is he always zoning out? I think to myself as I continue to click my fingers in front of his face.
Abel shakes his head, finally coming out of his trance. "What?" he asks.
"I said how long are we leaving for?" I tell him again, smiling at his adorable, confused face.
"Oh!" Abel exclaims before a smile spreads across his face. "A week, probably - just to get away from people."
"And who would you want to get away from?" I want to know, tilting my head.
Abel smiles and runs a finger over my cheek. "Just people," he murmurs, staring at my lips. "Come on, we're going to miss our flight."
