Shailene's POV

.....girlfriend...?

Oh so he has a girlfriend. Right.

He asked me out, twice! And didn't mention to me that he has a girlfriend. He flirted with me....and just like that?

"Only you, Shai. Only you...."

Yesterday.... was just a lie?

I feel cold like a bucket of cold water just dropped on my head. I feel.... betrayed. Why do I sound like a jealous wife?

We just met 4 days ago!

You know what? I don't care. I won't care anymore. Even though I want to run away somewhere away from him, I won't do it. Instead I would pretend I'm okay, like I was not affected by the fact that he has a girlfriend. Acting is my greatest skill, let's put it to a test on how good I am at acting.

"Hi! My name is Shailene Woodley, I will be your boyfriend's co-star for his new movie." I introduce myself to her.

"Nice to meet you!" Ruth gives me her smile.

She's blonde, slightly shorter than me. She has a pair of big blue eyes. Her body is curvy, no wonder he likes her.

"Ruth, I need to talk to you."

His deep husky voice still affects me in any way I don't realize.

Forget him. Just forget him.

"Please excuse us." He says, dropping his glass.

I steal a quick glance at him and his eyes catches mine, pleading for me to understand. Understand what? I return his stare with a cold one. He blinks back and steers her away by the elbow, away from us. She grabs his arm, leaning on him. He doesn't return her action. I can't see where he is going but it will be somewhere private.

Miles seems to realize the awkwardness so he quickly shouts, "Let's take your shot guys! The party is just started!"

Everyone is eager to take the shots, I don't usually drink but tonight I want to do it now. I take my shots and the liquid burns my throat, it feels good. I don’t know how many shots I have taken, I just clank my glass againts Miles and drink it again.

The DJ is playing a song I don't recognize but I enjoy it. I go to the dance floor and let the music fills me. A tall guy comes in front of me, joining my dance. He's cute. Finally, I can take my mind off of him.

"Hi!" He greets me.

"Hey!"

"My name's Ansel Elgort. Call me Ansel, you are Shailene Woodley right?"

"Yes! How did you know that?"

"Because I am your brother."

Brother? Did he mean?

"You play as Caleb??"

"Yes! Have you met all the casts?"

"I haven't. Just got here with Miles."

"Have you met Four a.k.a Theo James?" He asks.

That name again. I just forget him for ten minutes and Ansel makes me remember him again. Speaking of the devil, he hasn't come back from speaking with his girlfriend. Of course he will choose her company than ours. Or me..
