Theo's POV

"OH. MY. GOD. Theo! This pancake tastes amazing! How did you find this place?" Shailene has just tasted her first pancake. First pancake in her life for the fact. And she is savoring each little bite, mumbling umm, ahh, or yeahh everytime it melts in her mouth. This woman knows how to eat.

God dayum!

She's like she is having sex.

Good God! You are having a breakfast right now, Theo. No time for that.

Seriously, it is just a plain buttered pancake with honey. But when she eats it, she makes it like she is having the best orgasm in her life. I wonder what she will say when she tastes mine..

My pancake, I mean. You didn't think something dirty right?

I'll just tell you what happened after she agreed to go with me.

When she said, "Sure." I felt like I was the luckiest man in the world, I wanted to go climbing a building like a Dauntless and screaming "YESS!" on top of it, like the King Kong movie.

Instead, I just grinned at her. And then my body reacted quicker than my brain, I grabbed her shoulder, made her closer to me and took her to the elevator. I didn't even say goodbye to everyone.

Then I questioned her what she usually eats for breakfast, she told me that she usually eats fruits or cereal, she's a health freak, she said. She never eats anything besides it. I was really surprised when she said she never eats a pancake before. Well, at least she loves pie!

You are really different, Shailene. I'm amazed.

I took her to Wildberry Pancakes and Café, my favorite place in this city to eat breakfast. This place has the best pancake in the world. So why not? We ordered the same drink, chocolate milk. I check it to my mental note. Next, I ordered the most popular pancake and she just ordered the original pancake. Plain buttered pancake with honey. But she didn't know that the original one was the second most popular pancake. It was the one that made this café really famous.

I just realized that I haven't answered her question. I must look stupid, smiling for no reason. I take a look at her and find her already halfway done with her pancake.

"Well, one day I was jogging around this area and suddenly there was a loud noise like a bomb and this café suddenly appeared in front of me. I went into it and they served me their pancake, I fell in love with it. Since then I come here as often as I could." That is not the real story, I just found out this place 2 years ago. My ex recommended this place and I fell in love with the pancakes and pies.

The other reason why I brought Shai here was to make new memories in this place with her and bury my ex memories somewhere else.

"Do you think I would believe that?" Shailene kicks my foot lightly. Ooohh she's feisty.

"Ummm..no? Do you?" Shailene shrugs her shoulder. I was about to eat my last bite when I saw Shailene eyeing my fork with interest.

I put my last bite away from my mouth instead I give it to her. "Open your mouth."
