{A/N: Chapter three guys! Enjoy!}

*Melissa's P.O.V.*

First day of school. What if school will be horrible? What if the people there are mean? I'm so nervous... But then I thought, Nathan will be there also (but not in the same level), so I have already one friend there.

Whatever happens, Melissa, just focus on studies, you're doing this for your parents, okay? Don't let them down, Don't let your scholarship go to waste. I thought.

I got dressed, the school doesn't have uniform, which is hard since I'm used to wearing a uniform back at my old school, and also I have limited clothes at the moment... So for my first day I will just wear a plain white t-shirt and jeans, with some simple shoes, just let my blonde hair down, and no make-up. Simple enough to make a good first impression on me, right?

"Melissa, are you ready?" I heard Karen called me, downstairs.

"Yes, I'm going down there in a minute." I replied. The Ivory Tower (University) is not very far from here, so it's just a walking distance, or I can take a bike there. Walking or Biking, I still have to go to school with Nathan.

Speaking of Nathan...

I checked my school stuff to see if there is anything missing, nope, complete, I packed it in my shoulder bag (my parents gave me to it when I was 15) and went downstairs. I found Jess and Karen cleaning the house.

"Good morning." I said with a smile, But where's Nathan?

"Where's Nathan?" I asked. They smiled,

"He's still in his room, lazy Nath," Jess said, "Let me wake him up." She continued and went upstairs.

"Are you exited for school today?" Karen asked me. Who wouldn't be exited? First day of school in a different country!

"More than excited." I looked at myself in the mirror, I look good, just t hen Nathan came down.

"Nathan let's go, we'll be late!" I said to the groggy Nathan, I bet he's not a morning person.

"Yeah, yeah, let's go." He said while putting on his black jacket, and we went out the house saying Goodbye and Good luck to us.

"You had a very glorious sleep." I joked; he gave me a half smile.

"I was in sleep heaven." We chuckled and talked more until we got to The Ivory Tower.

This is it. I thought.

I took a deep breath and went inside the building. The very first thing I saw was the clean floor and some shadows of students walking by in front of me. I know Nathan is still beside me, so I slowly look up.

Not bad, only some few blonde girls looking at me, I can't read their expression, so I looked at Nathan to see he has a smile on his face.

"Don't be shy." He said.

"Hey Nath!" a boy came running towards him.

"Hey Jay." Nathan said and they did the 'hand claps- pat on the back' thingy that I don't know what it meant but boys always do it. I looked at the boy, he has a very curly hair and blue eyes. Must be Nathan's friend.

"Oh," he said after seeing that I have no idea who he was

"Melissa this is Jay, Jay, meet Melissa" he said. I said "Hi" to Jay and he gave me a big smile and a friendly wave. Okay, this is good, I already have two friends in just minutes.

"She's an exchange student and she'll be living with us." Nathan explained.

"Oh cool." Jay said. Nathan said that Jay is his best mate and he's in the same level as him, and that he can also sing, and he's a geek, vegetarian, and a drinker. We became friends already. Thanks Nathan.
