Okay, so I know I said I'd write about my birthday... Haha. Don't trust lazy people. Here I am anyway. Even though this should have been posted Monday, YOLO because today is Thursday and I could care less.
Alright, so let's get started. The first thing I did for my birthday was spend the afternoon with my friends. After school, we went to Taco Bell and then the mall. At Taco Bell my mom surprised me with cookie cake and gave me one of my birthday presents, pearl earrings. They're fab. And after that we went to the mall and shopped until we dropped.
It was nice hanging with my friends. It always is.
The following Sunday was my actual birthday and birthday party. We went to Gattiland, and not as many people showed up as I thought would. Which sort of sucked. Some people were sick, others couldn't make it. But nonetheless, it was a fun party and my parents were with me watching the clock when I turned 16 at 4:43.
To be honest, being 16 so far has kind of been surreal. Here I am on April 3rd, 4 days after my birthday, and I'm still not used to saying I'm this old. And thinking it. And believing it. It's a crazy thought.
Another cool thing about my birthday is that I got a job. It was literally yesterday. I've been waiting to turn in my application for a couple weeks (until after I turned 16), and finally I did Monday. Ironically, it was only a day after my birthday so I was fresh from the "able to work" oven. But that's just how spring break fell.
After I turned in my application, I got interviewed yesterday, and they'll call me either this week or next to tell me when I start. But I did get the job. And it's at Rue 21 by the way.
Yaaaay. :)
Well, I guess that pretty much sums it up. My birthday was pretty fab as a whole.
To everyone who contributed to my birthday experience, you go, Glen Coco. :)
