Ch. 7 : An Odd School Day. Pt.1

Bella tossed and turned for the first few hours of trying to sleep. She still couldn't believe she was even at Strickler a house in the first place. She wanted to know how he even got 'temporary custody' of her in the first place. They won't related she didn't even know him until she came to Arcadia in the first place! So how did he get custody over her?

Bella blew a price of hair that fell into her face as she sat up. Sighing to her self she swung her legs over the bed ands stood up stretching slightly after. She opened the door to the room she was given and walked down the hall to the kitchen. After quietly looking around for a cup she found one and filled it up with water. As she drank from the cup she headed back to her room but as she walked by a room she noticed a light on and Strickler voice was heard he was talking to some one from the sounds of it, it was someone just as old as strickler. The door was open a crack letting Bella look in. She surprised a gasp as she saw strickler talking to another changling. Bella didn't think it was one of those trolls she caught but then again what was it?  

Carefully Bella backed away from the door and headed back to her room. Suddenly feeling tired she put the glass down on the side table and fell back to sleep once her head hit the pillow.

Bella was awakened by her phone vibrating and playing the chorus of 'You Don't Know Me' by Lizz Gillies. With her head buried in her pillow she reached over with one hand and picked up herself phone. She squinted at the screen as she looked at the time and who was trying to call her. She saw it was a unknown number and put it back down but before she did she looked at the time. Only seven-fifty in the morning.

Seven-fifty in the morning on a Thursday.

Then it dawned on her. It was seven-fifty in the morning on a Thursday. She was late for school!

"Dang it why does this have to happen to me?" She asked her self.

Throwing off the covers she quickly pulled out her bag that had her cloths in it and pulled out and random T-shirt and jeans. She the them on then picked up her bag. She was happy that she had remembered to pack it last night before she went to bed. Opening the door she rushed past Strickler who nearly smirked as he was standing by the door. "You know if I'm gonna be stuck with you you could at least wake me up!" She said as she got into Stricklers car.

"I did you said you wore getting up." Strickler stated

"And you really listened to me?" She asked

"You had your eyes open and was alert."

"And you really believed that!" Bella asked

Strickler nearly smirked. After a few phone calls around to different changlings he knew pretty much everything about it. It was easy to figure out she was a heavy sleeper and that she often woke up in the middle of night which was why he took procotinary measures to ensure she would be asleep when he went out in the middle of the night. He knew she got up as the sponsor on his night stand lit up signaling movement coming from her room. After she had gone to bed he had covered the inside of a cup he knew she would use with liquid chloroform. Most human sedatives didn't effect changelings but as sense she was part human he knew it would affect her.

As they pulled up to the school. Bella looked at the time. Five minutes to get to class. A class that was on the other side of campus! As she was about to get out Strickler handed her a sticky note she looked at it and saw it was a excused tarty slip which she was grateful for. "Thanks." She said as she got out. She felt a little better knowing she could get to class at her own pace now that she had a excused tardy slip

"You look like death has washed soon you."

"Thank's"

Bella sighed as she picked at her food. It was lunch time and she had somehow gotten invited to sit with Jim and his friends why she didn't know she figured after the incident they would want nothing todo with her but then again Jim and his friends wore apart of it. Bella suddenly pushed her plate away from her and lairs her head down on the table.

"Are you ok?" Clair asked

Bella lifted her head "yeah I'm just fine my mom is only missing I was attacked by a troll, and not to mention I'm stuck living with the creepiest teacher alive!" She said

"So that's who your staying with?" Clair asked

"With Strickler? Uh yeah."

"How did that even happen?" Jim asked

"I really have no idea."

Suddenly Toby pipped up "many strickler kidnapped your mom!" He exclaimed

"Ok that's a little bit off topic but I highly doubt he did even if he did why would he? It's not like we're even related or anything like he's my real father or something. My real dad went missing a long time ago." Bella said

"Oh. I thought your parents wore divorced." Toby said

"Yeah I get that a lot." Bella mumbled

"So anyways I saw you signed up for the talent show what song are you going to sing?" Clair asked

Bella smirked "that there is a secret child." She said

"You have no clue do you?" Jim asked smiling slightly

"No clue." Bella said

Heading to her next class Bella went to her spot in the back of the science room. Imiditly she saw the pendant that had transformed her into.. what ever she turned into- strong on her desk. She quickly sat down and stained at it for a second then as more kids filed into the science room she quickly put it in her bag. How could something she knew she left hidden in the desk in her room be there at school? Shaking it off she pulled out her note book and pencil and waited. She inwardly ground as Steve sat down next to her

"What do you want now?" She asked annoyed

Steve smirked "I was asking if you wanted to go to the talent show with me. Like as a date."

Bella sighed "I'm not interested Steve." She said

"Oh really?" He asked his smirk falling slightly never once had a girl turned him down before.

"Yeah and for the umpteenth time I will say no and I'm saying now so now go." She said smirking

Steve turned around and crossed his arms "you can't turn me down all the time sooner or later you'll agree" He mumbled

"And when I agree I'll be either dead or despret." She said
Ella glanced down at her bad and saw it was slightly glowing. Growing a little nervous she used her foot to pull the strap to the other side of the desk . "Today's shaping up to be a weird day" she said to her self.
