Camila P.O.V
I walk up to ms. Morel the teacher that assigned me and Lauren as partners. "Ms.m" she looks up from the test I guess she grading "Camila hello what can I do for you" she says in a happy tone.

"Um I was wondering if I could change my partner for the project" she gives me a worried look. "Why would you want to do that"

I try to find a reasonable explanation "I... uh....I" she smirks. "I know why" I look at her in shock.

"You-you do" she nods her head " it's because she's the coolest kid in school and you don't wanna be intimidated and you feel small" I look at her.

"Yup that's exactly why how could you be so right" I say pretending to be shocked. "Mhm well don't worry I put you and Lauren together for a reason" I look at her once again confused.

"You two some how connect I feel it you two are totally different but as they say opposites do attract"

"Wait so your not going to change my partner" she nods her head no. "But"

"No Camila now stop" I walk out of class obviously mad. When I feel a tap on my shoulder I turn around to see one person I have been dreading to see.

"H-hey so why were you in Ms. Morels class" she ask as if she was nervous. "I..I..uhh" she looks at me with a sad expression.

"You asked to switch partners didn't you" well at this point there is no point in lying to her I just slowly nod my head yes.

"Why"

"What"

"Why do you not want to be my partner so badly Camila what did I ever do to you for you to dislike me so much please tell me you have been trying to get rid of me forever without even telling me why" she says not yelling but kind of yelling you know that little yelling that's kind of in the middle. But she looks so hurt like if I broke her heart.

"Look just talk to me after school we will go to your house and I will tell you everything you want to know including the answer to your question" the bell rings and without giving her time to respond I run off.

Lauren P.O.V

Camila never showed up. It's the next day and while I'm walking through school I see Camila. She has her head down with her hod on.

I grab her hand and pull her into the janitors closet "hey what th-" she looks up and stops talking.

I look at her face she has bruises on her face and a black eye I quickly grab her arm and pull up her sleeves there are purple bruises on her arm I look at the other there are cuts on it.

"Camila what happened" she looks down "nothing" she whispers I look at her in disbelief. "Nothing you call this nothing" I say holding up her arm. "It's nothing" she says this time a little more aggressive.

"No Camila this this is something what is going on with you" she looks at me and her jaw clenches.

"You know what you have been on my case about everything why do you even care your just like everyone else your gonna leave eventually your going to hurt me why do you need to know everything. you want to know everything when I go home my dead beat drunk dad beats me my mom and my sister. Before I went this school my girlfriend used to make fun of me and tell me I was going to be nothing she hit me a few time to. (Nothing against Selena) and I have a secret that everyone who finds out just leaves me or hates me and it disgusted with me. that's everything that's it all". She takes a deep breath "And on top of that you think that I don't like you oh man who doesn't like you and I have to stop my self from getting to close because that one day we spent together I feel even deeper than I wanted to. I like you a lot maybe even love but I can't get to close because I'm afraid of getting hurt I'm scared Lauren in so scared." She finishes with tears in her eyes.

I look at her and my eyes widen when I take in everything she says. I guess she realizes everything she said because then her eyes go wide to. "I..mean..umm...I-I-I." She runs out of the closet before I could speak.

"I like you to maybe even love" I whisper as she runs away.
