Turn of events

Chapter 5

I had managed to hide the baby bump all through the time i was at school. I had alot of bagy jumpers i was use to wearing at school and if you didnt know you think i was just a bit chubby. The school end up knowing as me and Jamie came to many arguments at school and people over-heard so they all found out but i didnt get any grief and i was suprised and relieved.

So far school has been okay. On Monday was my first home lessona nd it was English and it was okay. My mum was home from work so she faffed around the teahcer to make sure everythign was okay, she gave them a cup of coffee and biscuits and talked to them for ages, she did that everyday.

Today is Friday and its my psychology day. My mum is at work today though. My mum works five days a week 8 till 4 but on Fridays she works from 4 till 8 because she has a 'special' patient that needs time ajusted but needs to see her.

I was sitting in my livingroom with my feet on the coffee table and my laptop on my knee and i was doing some homework when the doorbell went. My mum groaned and got up and answered it and i could hear it was Miss Johnson.

There was some movement and my mum and Miss Johnson appeared at the door frame but i didnt look up i was writing my essay conclusion "haw robot!" my mum said and threw a cushion at me "mum!" i groaned and looked at her and Miss Johnson looked amused,

"teachers here!" she said and i nodded "two minutes im finishing a history essay!" i said and my mum sighed and shook her head "would you like tea or coffee?" my mum asked and Miss Johnson smiled "coffee please!" she said and my mum left and Miss Johnson stood by the door,

"feel free to sit down!" i said pointing to the seat next to me. She hesitated but took my offer and sat next to me. I instantly smelled her perfume and i smiled lightly but focused on my essay. My mum came through with her cofee just as i finished my essay "tah-dah a two thousand word essay on the battle of britan!" i said and shut my computer and my mum lookad at me shocked,

"two thousand words?" she asked and i nodded "considering the kids have to write more than that in a test she got it lucky!" Miss Johnson said and i nodded and my mum looked horrified,

"i can barely manage to write paragraph on a patient let alone two thousand words!" she said and she got her jacket on "are you a doctor?" Miss Johnson asked and my mum shrugged "not that kind of doctor but similar im a Psychiatrist !" she said and Miss Johnson nodded "depressing!" she said and my mum nodded,

"sorry to say but im of to work. Normally i would be here but on the Friday lesson im not, work needs now if you need anything Nic knows and if its an emergancy call gran i dont knwo how to do things!" she said and i nodded "bye mum!" i said and she smiled,

"live long and prospere!" she shouted from the door and shut it "did you mum just quote Star Trek?" Miss Johnson asked and i nodde d"she sure did but my grans worse!" i said and she laughed lightly,

We walked through to the kitchen where the table was so i could work vbetter and she sat beside me again but i didnt mind.

I got some work to do and i was talked through it all and i carried on wit work while she marked jotters "so how you been, emotionally?" she asked and i nodded "alright, not bothered!" i said and she raised an eyebrow "thats my reaction to it aqll aswell!" i said and she smiled and looked back at her work,

"do you mind if i get a biscuit?" i asked her and she shook her head "your house!" she said and i nodded "you want one?" i asked and she shook her head and i got some Mcvities chocolate digestives from the sweet cupboard.

I sat back down and continued with my work. When i was done Miss Johnson looked it over and explained the rest of the work. I heard my front door open and i raised an eyebrow and looked that way,
