Turn of events

Chapter 8

Thursday Math lesson was cancelled and as i had a psycollogy test Miss Johnson was comming then and Friday and this time my mum will be there.

It was around lunch time and the door went and i sighed, paused my movie and got up to answer it and a man was standing there. He looked to be in his thirties and he was farely average with hsi brown hair and shaved chin. He had a plain brown t shirt on and some light jeans and some black trainers.

"hello.." i said and he smiled "hi im looking for Nicola!" he said and i raised an eyebrow "who are you?" i asked and he smiled " Harry Redbank, your mum sent me!" he said and i raised a bigger eyebrow "im sorry she's not in im afraid!" i said and he smiled,

"dont worry its you i came to talk to, i wont be long can i come in?" he asked and i thought about it before letting him in. I followed him to the living room but was shocked when he pulled out a knife and pointed it at me, well thats a shocker,

"im one of your mums patients and what does she go and do, cancel my fucking oppointment for family troubles!" he said angrily and i raised an eyebrow, "when was this?" i asked and he grew more angry "last week!" he said and i nodded "oh right!" i said, she was actually sick that day but i have a feeling that wont help my case,

I sighed and thought about it. I wasnt really scared if he was one of my mums patients i could talk to him. My mum always doen this thinkg when i was angry she would make me talk about it without me realising, i didnt notice until afew years ago but ti still wrks,

"want a coffee?" i asked and he looked shocked "y-yes please!" he said and i nodded and walked ot the kitchen and he followed me "take a seat!" i said and he sat at out kitchen table "so how was your day?" i asked and handed him his cup and sat opposite him.

He had the knife in hsi hands and he had a firm grip around it and it was pointing at me "good. I got a job finaly!" he said and i smiled "thats great, what is it?" i asked and he smiled "i help at the library, its minimum wage but its something!" he said and i nodded,

"do you read alot?" i asked and he nodded "i was top in my english class because of it and i done alot of competitions. I wanted to be an author but i dont have the patience so im trying the library!2 he said and i nodded,

"have you started work there yet?" i asked and he nodded "i started today!" he said and i smiled as he sat the knife on the table and wasnt holding it anymore,

"what did you do?" i asked and he smiled "i was taught how to sort the books out and how to write them up!" he said proudly and i smiled "well then you had a good day!" i said and he nodded. There was some silence before my next question "so why you here?" i asked and i was glad he didnt pick up the knife again,

"i just got angry. Im really sorry i wouldnt have hurt you i just saw red and well this happened, your mum si tryingt o help me but i dont think its working and i got scared she was giving up on me!2 he said with a frown and i sighed,

"my mum ownt give up on you if you dont give up on yourself. You just have to believe you can do it because you have to trust yourself and belive in yourself before others can help you!" i said and he smiled,

"you sound like your mum!" he siad and i smiled "that has its beifits!" i said and he smiled. The front door opened and my mum emerged and when she saw Harry in the kitchen she froze "Harry..." she traile dof and caustiously walked over while glancing at me,

"why are you here? in my home, whith my daughter!" she said and stood beside me "im sorry Doctor Richie but i threatend her with a knife. I know i shouldnt have done it but i saw red again and im really, really sorry please dont hate me and  please dont give up on me i need you and i promise it wont happen again!" he said and my mum stod in shock,
