Epilogue

"objection your honour!" i said and stood to say it and the judge looked over at the prosecution and falshes of cameras shocked me a bit but i didnt let it show "Mr Harlow what is the point to that question?" the judge asked and he smiled,

"sorry your honour let me refrase, Mr Woods as from your CV it shows you were in the army, so wouldnt you or would you not be able to craft a bomb?" he asked and my client nodded "yes but you cant buy the parts so easily without a goverment offical knowing about ti!" he said in a 'duh' tone which wasnt the best fo ideas considering he's being accused of blowing up a primary school.

Theres strong evidence proving him against it but also some evidence saying he did do it but nothin as solid as what i've got. He was asked some more questions and the judge called us for lunch and there were more flashes of cameras.

I went to the cafeteria and got a sandwhich and called Zoe, it rang three times before she answered,

"hey sweetie!" she said all cheary and i smiled,

"hey hows work?" i asked and took a bite of my sandwhich,

"one minute, Ricky no running in the corridor!" she shouted and i smiled,"aww come on Miss im late nfor footy!" i was surprised i could hear the conversation "i dont care you shouldnt be running!2 she said and he mumbled something,

"sorry about that, work's okay the staff have the news on TV so i saw you in court, got a severe turn on!" she siad and i smiled,

"yeh me in my gown always works for you!" i said and she gasped and i smiled,

"please dont give me that image!" she said and i smiled,

"i believe i already have!" i said and took a drink,

"okay moving on, how do you think its going?" she asked and i sighed,

"it really could go either way so i dont know!" i said,

"well i hope you win sweetie!" i heard the bell go,

"im gonna have to go but see you when you get home!" she said and i smiled,

"okay bye sweetie, love you!" i said,

"love you to!" she said and i hung up just as we were told to go back in to court.

I walked back through in my long black gown and shook hands with the prosecutor as always and took my seat "all rise!" the police oifficer said and everyone stood as the judge walked in "you can all sit!2 he said and we all sat back down,

"Mrs Johnson summery for your case please!" the judge asked and i stood and smiled at him "members of the jury with the evidence i have presented to you and the questions that have been asked and answered i hope you see that Mr Woods did not commit that unfateful crime and infact took no part in it and he is just a poor man who has been accused of something he did not do!" i said and the jusge nodded and i sat back down.

The prosecution stood up for his summery "members of the jury i hope you see as much as i do that Mr Woods did not just take part in the event but also commited the ofence. With the evidence i have presented i hope you can see this!" he said and sat back down.

"members of the jury you have half an hour to decide!" the judge said and they all left while we all waited and it was the longest half hour of my life, my company had alot riding on this.

So let me tell you whats happened in the ten years while the jury dicuss things. Well Damien is ten now and he apparently looks just like me and he has brown curly hair which he hates but it looks good on him.

Zoe and me got married while i was in university so when Damien was three. Unfortuatly Zoe got fired from her job when the school found out the acusations of a student teacher relationship but her teachers license stayed so she got another job in a secondary school and its better pay and she says the people are alot nicer there and she likes it better so thats good.

As you can tell im a lawyer and i work for Shoelane Cajmbers and im a QDC which is very high up and im working a big case, its all over the news and most fo the nation know about it. If i loose the case nothing happens job wise but if i win i do get a pay rise and a promotion but lets not think about that.

If you remember my mum would take phone calls alot well turns out she had a boyfriend who is now my step dad and he is as crazy as her its unbelieveable. They got married the same year as me and his name is Rick and he's pretty cool. My gran was able to make it and two years later she unfortuantly died.

Connie and Jamie were sentanced to life in prison for kidnaping Damien.Turns out it was Jamie who had shot the police man in the leg and he got worse for that so he isnt allowed bail but Connie is.

"the jury!" the guard said and everyone stood up as they entered and flashes of cameras went again as they took there seat "the jury spokesmen please stand!" the judge said and a young man stood up at the left end of the bench,

"do you find Mr Woods guilty or not guilty of counts of murder?" the judge asked and i gulped "not guilty!" he said and i smiled. Everyone clapped and cheared and there was more flashes of cameras,

"order,order!" the judge said and banged his gavel "Mr Woods you have been proven not guilty you are free to go!" he said and left and i sat back and sighed a sigh of relief "congratulations!" the prosecution said coldly and i shook his hand "thanks!" i said and he stormed of and i laughed a bit and walked away.

I was walking to the main exit when Mr Woods stoped me "thank you so much, i couldnt have done that without you!" he said with a smile and i smiled "no problem, i was just doing my job!" i said and he smiled.

Whe we both left there was alot of flashes and reporters asking questions and i just walked away to my car which was on the otherside of the building. I dumped my bag in the back and got in the drivers side and smiled.

I looked at my watch and Zoe would be home by now as she had only one period after lunch. I drove home listening to 'We are the champions' by Queen on repeat. As i got into our street i ahd blasted it and i was singing along to it.

I turned into our drive and Zoe was getting out of the car with shopping bags. She looked at my car and smiled and raised an eyebrow. I switched the music of and got out of the car still singing "sweetie the musics of!" she said and i smiled and walked up to her and leaned on the car,

"i thought you loved my singing!" i said and she took a step closer and i smiled "maybe!" she said and i smiled and kissed her passionatly. "i love you!" she said when we parted and i smiled "i love you to!" i said and she smiled and kissed my forhead.

"mummy!" i heard Damien say and i turned and he was with my mum and Rick who were wlaking hand in hand and he was in his school uniform. He ran up and i gave him a hug "we saw you on the news you had a smile on your face!" he said and i smiled "well i was happy, how was school?" i asked as my mum and Rick came up "good, why were you on the news?" he asked and i smiled,

"i was in a big case that wa son the news!" i said and he nodded and helped Zoe with the shopping "comming in for a coffee?" i asked my mum and Rick who smiled "we have needs that need taken care of!" my mum siad and i raised an eyebrow and then i realised and cringed "mum!" i yelled and she laughed,

"okay bye sweetie and congrats on the job today!" she said and i shuddered "thanks!" i said and picked my work bag up and they walked away laughing and i shook my hed and walked in the house.
