"Are you ready?" Ayako asked the two Genin. (Y/n) and Sasuke looked at each other and nodded in confirmation. "Alright, let go!" she cheered. Both teammates interlocked hands and headed towards the door, following Ayako. "Wait here for your cue," she said as she stepped away from the two. (Y/n) looked over at Sasuke and sighed. "I'm sorry for bringing you into this. I'm pretty sure you'd rather be doing something else than this," she apologized sheepishly. "Hn, I'm enjoying this," Sasuke replied with a smirk as his grip on her hand tightened every so slightly in a reassuring manner. He watched as a smile curved her lips and her cheeks were dusted with a light pink. They both looked out the door when they heard Teka speaking. "One man has won the contest and now seems to have won out Lady of Honor's heart!" she spoke aloud as she glanced at the two Genin. "That's our cue," Sasuke said as he walked out as the girl held the Uchiha's hand tighter in nervousness following close behind. They watched as a grin spread across the faces of all the women and children and the men who had lost slumped over in defeat. "Here they are! Hatake, (Y/n) and Uchiha, Sasuke!" Teka announced, pushing both to the center of the stage.
"I can't see a thing!" Naruto said as he tried to look past the people in front of him. "Calm down Naruto! Why are you so worked up over it anyway?" Sakura furrowed her eyebrows. "I need to make sure (Y/n) isn't forced on a date with a creep! You saw all those geezers that were twice as old as (Y/n) that entered the competition!" the blonde said in frustration. Sakura looked over at their sensei who was also visibly nervous. She watched as Naruto created a shadow clone and gave himself a piggyback ride so he could see. As soon as he caught sight of the stage, he froze, along with Kakashi. "What's wrong Naruto?" her voice was full of concern. "Here they are!" Teka announced as Sakura tried to look at the stage. 'Don't tell me Sasuke...' "Hatake, (Y/n) and Uchiha, Sasuke!" the crowd cheered but team 7 stood still.
"So, where do we go first?" Sasuke asked his date. She pondered for a bit but quickly lit up with excitement as she looked over his shoulder. "How about the game booths over there!" she exclaimed. "Alright, let's go," the Uchiha said as he grabbed her hand. A smile spread across the girl's face as they headed towards the booths. "SASUKE!!" a voice boomed through the streets making (Y/n) flinch as Sasuke's eyebrow twitched, both stopping in their tracks. The two turned around and saw Naruto running towards them. "What do you want, dobe?" Sasuke frowned. "Why did you enter the contest?!" the knucklehead shouted in the Uchiha's face. "Would you rather those 30 something-year-old men take your little sister on a date?" Sasuke said indifferently as chills ran down (Y/n)'s spine at the thought of it. Naruto's eyebrow's furrowed in anger. "You do anything to her and I'll kill you myself!" Naruto yelled. "Hn..." Sasuke said as he turned around and walked away, still holding (Y/n)'s hand. "See ya later, Naru!" she said gave a half hearted smile to her brother and as a bead of sweat rolled down her cheek from embarrassment.
Both Genin looked around as lanterns illuminated the streets with a warm tint. (Y/n) watched as parents won gifts for their kids, bring a small smile to her dark red lips. Her eyes roamed around at the games until her gaze landed on gray stuffed rabbit. It had a small pink nose and a pink bow adorned its neck. Her eyes sparkled as she remained staring it. She didn't notice Sasuke leave her side as she stood in the middle of the street. A few seconds later, she was brought back to reality when she saw Sasuke walking back towards her. "Huh, when did ya leave?" she asked as she looked at him. "Didn't think you were the type of person to get excited over a stuffed animal," Sasuke smirked at her. "How'd you...?" (Y/n) trailed off when Sasuke held something in front of her. Her eyes widened as a flush washed over her face. It was the stuffed rabbit she was admiring earlier. She quickly tackled the Uchiha with a hug. "Thank you!" she smiled as she tightened the hug. "Hn, you seem to be having a good time," Sasuke gave her another smirk. "Eh, well I realized two things today. One, never trust Ayako with surprises. Two, you are one of the best people I have ever met," her face brightened with a smile as she separated from Sasuke. This statement brought a slight blush to the Uchiha's cheeks, making (Y/n) giggle and smile even more. "Ah! I have an idea!" the Hatake beamed. "Let's have a contest! We'll play every game in the festival and the one who wins the most games can make the loser do what ever they want for an entire day, no objections!" As soon as the words left her mouth, a devious smirk curved Sasuke lips. "Deal," he simply replied. "It's on, Uchiha!"
