Chapter 26: Hate and Hurt

"He left the village"

These words echoed in her unconscious mind.

"Wake up... wake up... wake up... WAKE UP!" (Y/n) yelled as she held her head in frustration. She was in the same dark room she had seen hundreds of times. But this time Kurama was nowhere to be seen.

"Stop... stop being so damn useless... (Y/n)!"

The girl gasped as she shot up from her bed.

Her eyes darted around the hospital room. They landed on the chair next to her bed. There rested all the things she would usually carry. Her bag of scrolls, her weapons, everything.

"Lady Hokage! You can't be serious!" a voice exclaimed from the other side of the door. "We have to make sure she stays here! For all we know, they could be after her too!" Whoever the voice was, they sounded worried. Fear laced every single word. "That is my final decision," Tsunade's muffled voice said sternly.

'She... She want's me to go for him...' her eyes widened at the realization.

Full of determination, she placed on all of her gear and slid open the window, allowing the breeze to hit her.

"You better not have done anything stupid, Uchiha..."

"Or it'll be the last decision you ever make..."

The newly promoted jounin ran through the forest, running as fast as her legs could carry her.

"Choji: Critically wounded, near death"

"Neji: Critically wounded, near death"

"Shikamaru: Injured, but mobility is still fine"

"Temari: Several wounds, but nothing severe"

"All three enemies are dead"

The shadow clones that she had left behind had successfully taken the four to the hospital. They soon dispersed allowing (Y/n) to know the state of her friends.

"Five bodies ahead. Two are dead," she mumbled to herself as she stopped at the edge of a ravine. She quickly jumped down only to be met face to face with Kiba and Kankuro. "(Y/n)!" Kankuro exclaimed as he sat next to Kiba, who was bleeding non-stop with Akamaru in his arms. Without hesitation, the girl took out a needle and thread as she rushed over to the two. "N-No... Take care of Akamaru first..." Kiba said in a strained voice. "You have to get treated too," she said as a clone appeared next to her. Carefully the clone took the shaking puppy into her arms. "Take him to the hospital and make sure you get Hana to treat him," the Hatake instructed. The clone nodded and quickly teleported back to the village. "Alright, just try not to move," the girl said as she tore off the bottom half of her shirt, tearing that piece into strips to act as a make-shift tourniquet. She tied the orange pieces of cloth around his arm and legs. She quickly stitched up any large wounds while simultaneously healing the smaller ones. She then pulled up his shirt revealing a large and deep wound that resided on his abdomen. With one hand glowing with chakra and the other holding the needle, she placed her glowing hand on one end of the wound, moving down as she stitched it shut. "There. Kankuro, help him to the hospital and make sure you get your wounds treated too," she said. The two nodded at each other before they went their separate ways.
