Chapter 2 - "Well hello there!"

BWe walked down the steps towards the beach, being such beautiful weather though the beach wasn't actually packed. Most of the beach was occupied by young children and there families and some older teenagers at the far side taking over the rock corners.

"This looks like a good place" said Maissie almost sitting down, but Nina grabbed her arm.

"No we need to head that way!" She pointed toward the rocks and took both mine and Maissie arm before dragging us in that direction. The others followed behind mumbling to each other why?

I turned and looked behind Nina's back to Maissie "Where are we going?" I mouthed to her, she just attempted a shrug. I looked at the teenagers coming into sight. They looked.......familiar. I then looked at Nina who now had a huge grin on her face, what was up with her?

We slowed as we approached the rocks, the teenagers all sat in a huddle around the rocks but the blonde boy smiled and quickly came to greet us.

"Hey Nina, you came!" The young boy was Ross Lynch...

"Yeah......hi" she grabbed his hand and pulled him away from everyone.

"What the heck Nina???!!! How did you, when did??!!" I couldn't quite speak.

Nina knew him......HOW? Then the group of teenagers came over........R5!

The first to introduce them self was Rocky and he headed straight to Maissie "How's it going, Rocky" he extended his hand and shook Maissie. She blushed because I had told her literally yesterday that that's what he does when he finds a girl cute. I giggled to myself at the expression of shock and charm.

We stood in a group standing In front of each other. Rydel introduced herself to me as well as Riker and Rocky. I did the same "Hi I'm Alex......" I couldn't believe I was speaking to them. I wanted to scream but I didn't.

"So who was that with Ross?" Asked a male voice, straight away I recognised who. I spun around and there stood the one and only Ellington Ratliff,

"I think that's Nina?" Said Rydel as we all turned to looked in the direction of Ross and her who seemed deep in conversation.

He continued staring with a confused expression "Who?" Rocky finally broke away from his gaze match with Maissie "You know the girl that Ross has been talking about."

I stood and looked from each person, how long has this been going on for? When on earth did Nina meet him??

I turned back around to find Ratliff looking at me "And who do we have here?" My stare locked for a second but I had to look at the floor. He looked at me!!

"I'm Marianne" she turned and pointed to everyone in turn "that's Rebecca and Maissie "I guess ya know Nina and she's-" I cut her off

"My names Alex" he smiled his smile I have seen so many times before and I couldn't help the smile pulling on my lips. "It's nice to meet you...all" he extended his hand and I shook it. His grip was strong but not too hard on my hand.

I couldn't look away, a panic came over me but I had to. I looked over at Maissie who was blushing at something Rocky had just said to her, they were so gonna get together, and Marianne was staring at Riker, who was explaining how trains worked, dint even get me started on how that subject came up. Though she has always said she never fancied anyone I knew she had always had a soft spot on Riker ever since I introduced them to the best band ever!!

Rebecca was waffling on to Rydel, telling her life story. But Rydel being the amazing person she is just smiled and listened. Nina was still talking to Ross in the distance so I turned back.

From when I turned away he was still watching me, I felt the heat rise in my cheeks, but I smiled none the less. "So drummer of the best band ever, how's life?"

He smirked, "I see your an R5er" I mirrored his smirk but raised my eyebrow "You better know it"

I laughed at the stupid expressions he made and since we had time to kill we began to compare each other and our friends.

We talked for like an hour and soon sat in a circle on the sand. I felt the warm sand on my feet and face, smiled at the glistening water. I looked in turn at everyone Riker, Marianne, Rocky, Maissie, Rebecca, Rydel and then Ratliff. He followed my gaze around the circle until I turned to him. I never realised how brown his eyes were. They shined in the suns reflections and he grinned at me showing his dazzling smile.

"Well I see you guys have met?!" I was knocked from my thoughts and I looked up to Nina and Ross both sharing the same knowing smile. The others were looking.....except Mocky, yep they now have a ship name now. I felt slightly embarrassed caught but everyone just laughed including him.

Nina came and sat on the other side of Ratliff and Ross beside her. We started to chat as a group this time but from across the circle I could see Nina mouthing things to me. I tried to ignore it but she had solid proof of what just happened, but then conversation fell to her.

"So guys.....when did you get together like this?" Questioned Riker with a sneer.

I grinned before twisting to face them "Yeah......What were you guys talking about over there?"

She death glared me but all eyes were on Niss as we waited for there answer.
