Chapter 6 - "Echo

Chapter 6 - "Echo!"

We plunged into the darkness, I let go of there arms and walked ahead. The atmosphere inside the cave.....it didn't feel safe, but I had to find Nina. The waves crashing were a distant sound and as our feet trod along the wet sandy ground, the felling got worse and worse. The sound i was focusing on was the footsteps in the distance.

As walking along I watched the others, they literally just came along none of them (except one) knows what's happening. They have just let me lead them into a blind cave......none of them looked bothered at all they all seemed really excited. Thought I was ahead Ratliff, Rydel and Rebecca shuffled behind.

Then out of no where something started shouting. Oh no!

"ECHOOOO!!" Screamed Riker and Rocky together, fist pumping as the walls/ground shook. The vibrations bounce off around.

I face palmed myself, we are screwed. Marianne covered her ears and Ratliff winced. The loud noise made me tense,

"I swear to god that have heard us" I mumbled under my breath. I stared at all the others, Riker and Rocky had started to wrestle. Maissie and Marianne were cheering for there player whilst Rebecca was trying not to panic and pull them apart. I face palmed myself again and looked away.

I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes,

"Yep, they have heard us" I said slightly too loud

I turned just in time to see Ratliff gesture to Rydel who looked extremely confused.

"Are we following Ross and Nina?!" She whisper shouted.

I glared at Ratliff who put his hands up in defence, mouthing 'I said nothing.....nothing'

Rydel span to face Ratliff and as she spoke there was a twinkle in her eyes,

"So that's what's happening?" Her stare was fixed on Ratliff and I watched amused as he hesitated before looking at me. I smirked and rolled my eyes, he was scared of Rydel, Ha!

I walked over and created a small circle, checking to see if the others were distracted

When I was certain I began to explain

"Ok......I saw Nina and Ross come in here, I told Ratliff. I'm pretty sure there just a few paces ahead and I wanna find out what there doing" I finished and watched for a reaction.

I obviously didn't say everything we saw, I didn't exactly want to embarrass Niss........yet. I must have been laughing to myself because when I looked back to them they both looked completely put out.

I brushed past it as if nothing had happened. Rydel's face turned to realisation and nodded. Why was she nodding?? I smiled not exactly knowing what the hell had just happened and turned back to the others.

They were all standing around looking at us, waiting for us to say something.

"Is your secret meeting over?" Said Rocky with his eyebrows raised.

I gestured to Rydel and Ratliff awkwardly, "They wanted to talk"

Riker frowned and was just about to say something to Ellington, who was looking at me as if I had said something unreasonable..........I think I know why.

No time for talk, as there was a sudden scream.

"ROSS STOP I CANT BREATH!!" Cried a giggly voice that echoed thought the tunnel.

"Oh crap" I said looking down the tunnel.
