Chapter 17 - "On the edge!"

My head was beating almost as fast as my heart, it felt as if it wanted to escape from my chest. I attempted to talk but a sash had been tied tightly round my mouth. I moved my legs but they had been tied together too, as well as my hands. I couldn't sit up, I was stuck laying on my back.

"What the hell!" I tried to say but it came out muffled/un-understandable. I kicked out hard again getting extremely frustrated but this time I hit something.

"Aaaaawhduud!!" Yelled the person on my left, sounded like Ross......well at least I wasn't alone. I then elbowed the person to my right, who even though all this was happening decided to jab me back...obviously Ratliff.

My eyes finally adjusted to my surroundings.....not that I wanted the to after I did. We were all back at the ledge. Laying down, tied up, our heads dropping over the casum.

I tensed, one move the ledge could crumble and we could plunge to our deaths.

Lights flashed, blinding me for a second and I looked up to a tall figure crouching over me, staring into my eyes. They were a piercing blue. Hi face changed to an evil smirk, he gripped onto my ankles and Ross's.

"HOW DID YOU GET HERE?! SPEAK OR DIE!" He dropped us further over the edge. Ross screamed his little high pitch scream as we dangled looking into the darkness. Our friends thoughts to help us. The atmosphere rapidly changed, I felt dizzy.

Nina must have seen us drop back as she started to yell and scream.

If I remember correctly......only two men were at the door......now there are at least 4 figure dressed in black. Each man held onto our ankles.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE!!" Barked a voice to my close right.

"We were trapped here, stupid, you think we just made our way here for a fricking laugh. Dude what the hell is wrong with you!!" Ellington shouted, I sensed the guy move closer and shoved Ratliff. Riker was also pushed much like me and Ross, dropped further off the edge like us.

"Holy S**t!" Squeaked Riker, trying not to look down.

I suddenly saw the guys converse an evil grin. Marianne, Rebecca, Rydel,Maissie and Rocky joined the rest of us looking into the casum. I think Rydel fainted. I held my breath, I attempted to break free but the throbbing in my was too painful. I looked down at my arm, blood dripped down. I winced in pain. I noticed Ross had a cut across his neck and Ratliff had a scratch across his cheek. wtf happened?

A shadow at the back held out a gun, in his other hand he held liquid filled bullets. The liquid was bright green. That must have been how we blacked out earlier.

Rocky suddenly started to kick up a fight down the other end, booting his guard in the face. Cracking his jaw, blood dripped from his lips.

I was suddenly dragged up by my shirt and a knife was held against my throat. Nina screamed again and so they did the same to her.

I felt the cool steel against my neck. I couldn't bare to swallow, my lips were dry.

As for Nina she went into utter panic mode, tears streamed down her cheeks, I watched my friends expressions of worthlessness, panic in there eyes. I wanted to comfort her and by the look of his agitation so did Ross. She screamed and screamed until another guard joined and dragged her away, but off down another tunnel.

I began to kick out, but pressure was applied to my throat. I felt sick,the screams of my close friends bounced back from the casum. Ratliff began to yell, Riker too.

I then was dragged away, the last thing I saw were tears in my friends eyes and a guard beating Ratliff/Riker/Rocky/Ross.
