"How do I look?" I ask Olivia nervously as she munches on a bowl of popcorn in front of the T.V, watching some gory movie.

"Smokin'," she says, without looking up from the T.V.

"Olivia!"

"No really, you look great," she says after finally turning her attention to me.

Suddenly a nock sounds at the door, sending my heart racing. I rub my hands together nervously and grab my small purse from the kitchen table before walking to the door.

I open it with a wide smile as I take in Cole dressed in a casual pair of jeans and a red and black flannel, holding a bouquet of roses. He hands them to me as he leans in, pecking my lips, causing me to blush.

"Let me just put these in a vase. Come in," I reply shyly, moving away from the door.

He walks in, closing the front door behind him. I move over to the kitchen and grab a glass vase from one of cabinets as people scream and cry while being killed in the worst possible ways. I drop the roses into the vase and glare at the back of Olivia's head.

"Could you pause it..."

"no can do, this man is getting killed!" she exclaims, while eating fucking popcorn!

"Can you at least mute it while Cole is hear..."

"Hey, this is my house too. Have fun guys, and be good Cole or I'll rip your fucking head off," she says, not looking away from the T.V.

I sigh, shaking my head and moving back over to the front door as Cole tries to hide his smile.

"Ah no wonder you haven't found a man yet. I mean just look at you're eating style, and your movie choices. I mean it really makes me question your sanity..." I start, backing out of the apartment.

"Get out!" she yells jokingly, chucking popcorn at us.

Cole and I laugh as I slam the door behind me. We turn and stare at each other, and the grin on his face has my heart galloping in my chest and butterflies flapping in my chest.

"You have an interesting cousin," he chuckles, causing me to shrug.

"She's just crazy," I smile, grabbing his hand. "So where are we going?"

"I can't tell you, just trust me," he says, tugging me down the hallway.

I step out of the car, taking Cole's hand as he help me out. I look up at the beautiful city streets of New York and smile down at Cole.

"I thought we could just walk around the city at night and maybe it could lead back to my hotel room..."

"Cole!" I exclaim with a laugh, slapping his shoulder playfully.

"So are you good with that?"

"Yeah."

"Which part?" he smirks.

"Hmm...maybe both?" I shrug, before walking off down the road.

Cole quickly catches up to me, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me into his side as we walk through the city, consumed in each other's presence.

We continued on through the street until we reached a cute little dinner. We decided to go in and eat. I loved having a casual date like this. It was just Cole and I walking around a city full of people, but they didn't matter because they couldn't penetrate our little bubble.
