Shale

I wrap a towel around my body as I hop out of the shower, tossing Cole his own towel as I move out of the bathroom and into my room. I walk into my closet and get dressed in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt, before walking out to find Cole standing in my room with only a towel around his waist.

"What?" I ask, confused as to why he's doing nothing.

"I don't have any clothes here," he smirks, about to drop the towel.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Don't do it! Just...put on your old clothes," I say, covering my eyes while my face turns bright red

I may have seen everything, but I had just gotten clean and needed to go out into the world and do something with my life. Like go shopping for Cole's restaurant's grand opening.

"Fine," he chuckles at my shyness, walking up to me and kissing my burning cheek, before moving out into the living room where his clothes were scattered everywhere.

I let out a sigh of relief as I move around my bedroom. Today will be hard, going shopping without Olivia's constant complaining and crazy personality.

My eyes automatically drift to a picture of the both of us placed on my bedside table of when we were both teenagers. I smile to myself, moving over to it and picking it up as I sit down on the bed.

We were sitting on a dock, laughing at something, probably Olivia, while my sister took our picture. I gently place the photo back down on my bedside table, suddenly thinking about what's going to happen when Shale gets back.

A while ago I told Cole that I would move in with him after Shale left, but that was before everything. I don't know when, or even if that'll happen while she's gone, but if I'm not here, where will Olivia live?

"Hey babe, why do you have no food but chocolate and wine?" Cole called out from the living room.

I let out an amused sigh, before walking out of my room, grabbing my phone and purse along the way.

"Because I haven't gone grocery shopping in a while," I say, but he gives me a pointed look.

"Hey, it's not my fault. I'm either eating out with you, Olivia, or I'm at your house, so we don't really need much food here," I defend.

"What am I going to do with you?" Cole sighs with a small smile, coming to my and wrapping his arms around my waist, while looking down at me.

"Kiss me?" I offer hopefully, causing him to chuckle, but peck my lips nonetheless.

"So where are you off too?" he asks, looking over my purse and phone with raised eyebrows.

"Well I have to go shopping for a dress for the grand opening," I say rolling my eyes.

"You can just where that red dress you wore to the charity ball. I never did get to take it off you," he smirks, causing my face to heat up.

"No, I'm going to get a new one, that you haven't seen before," I say, pulling out of his grip to help keep our hands to ourselves.

He sticks his bottom lip out in a pout, causing me to chuckle as I move towards the door.

"You can stay here if you'd like, but I don't know how fun my apartment is," I say looking around the place as if I can find something magical about it.

"Nah, I should probably go home and get changed, I have to get my mother to advertise for me," he says, running his hand through his hair with a sigh.
