(Shale's dress ^)
Cole
I knock on Shale's door, eager to see her before I have to share her with everyone else at the party tonight.
"Come in," her voice calls from within her apartment.
I let my lips stretch into a smile as I push my way into her apartment. I look around for her but see her nowhere in sight.
"Sorry, I'm running a little late," Shale says, putting in an earring as she steps out of her room, walking towards me.
My jaw drops at the sight of her, my beautiful girlfriend. She's dressed in a pale blue spaghetti strapped dress, revealing her beautiful neck and shoulders. The low-neck line, plunges in between her breasts, causing me to fantasize things that I should not be picturing at the moment. My eyes drop down to the slit in her dress, revealing her leg, all the way up to her thigh.
"What? Do I look okay?" she asks, slightly panicked, looking down at her dress.
"You look..." I trail off, as in a daze, not knowing what else to say.
"Like a slut?" she asks nervously. "Oh god I do! I can put on the red dress..."
"No! Don't do that! You look perfect! I love it...I love you," I say, pulling her to me, unable to resist the urge to touch her.
I see her face relax as she lets out a sigh, leaning her forehead on my chest. I can sense something is bothering her though. I pull back to stare in her beautiful chocolate eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing...it's silly..."
"Tell me," I urge, causing her to let out a sigh.
"It's just that, I got used to Olivia always being her to yell at me and make me laugh while I'm doing mascara so that I poke my eye out, or to burn my hair off with a curling iron. I just...it's hard to get ready without her, when ever since we were kids we've been doing stuff together, like getting ready for dates and stuff. I know it's silly, but I just...I miss her so much," she finishes, wrapping her arms around me and pulling me towards her.
"Shh, I understand. And it's not silly, it's perfectly normal to miss your cousin and your best friend. But you'll see her again, and she would want you to be happy while she's gone, not dwell on the fact that she's gone," I murmur into her hair as I place a gently kiss on the top of her head.
"Yeah, I know. It's just hard to live here without her," she says with a sigh, causing a smile to break out on my face as I pull away from her.
No time like the present right?
"Move in with me then?" I say in a rush.
"W-what?"
"Well, I was going to ask you later tonight, but why the hell not now? I want you to move in with me. I want to go to sleep next to you every day, I want to wake up next you. I want to argue over bathroom and closet space like an old couple. I want to cook you dinner every night and eat junk food in front of the T.V like I know you love to do," I chuckle at her burning face.
"I do love to do that..." she whispers, still not taking in my words fully.
"I want you to move in with me, Shale. I want to live with my girl," I say, cupping her face him my hands.
"Yes," she breathes, her face turning into a breathtaking smile.
"Really?"
"Well when you ask me the way you did, I don't really have a choice," she laughs, looking up at me with tears of happiness in her eyes.
