"What do you mean she's not with you?!" Mariah yells.

It's been a day since the military got to Rose. So me and Olivia decided to go back to the house to and plan to try to find her and bring her back since when had to escape Reno and we don't know where she is.

"I'm sorry, Mariah," I say. "The military got to her and we don't know how that happened."

"You could've saved her or something!"

"I couldn't! If I tried, we would have been captured!"

I shock Mariah and I take a step back.

I shouldn't have yelled at her. It's not her fault, I've just been under a lot of stress now that Rose has been caught. Mariah starts to tear up and runs to her room. I'm breathing heavily and I feel like I want to punch something. I can't believe I let that happen to her. I was supposed to protect her at all costs, and I let her down.

Everyone looks at me with disappointment, and I immediately stomp out of the house in frustration and I sit down by the front door. I rub my eyes and sigh.

Where are you Rose?

Olivia comes outside a few minutes later and sits next to me. She's looking mad that Rosa has been caught.

"Hey Rogers." She says.

"Hey. You have any type of plan to rescue her?" I ask.

"No, do you?"

"I don't have one."

"We're screwed. You know, for all we know she could be dead!" She shouts.

I heart drops. I didn't think of that. She's out only hope to ending this war and if she dies, then. . . They win. I don't want to think about but I have to. Just in case, we need to plan another strategy.

Well I'm stuck here unless I try something to get out. I try my telekinesis but it's locked and I can't unlock it with my telekinesis. Did they make this cell for me?

I check my pockets and I suprisingly still have the necklace with me. That's a relief.

I start to think about other powers that I have. What can I use to help me? I don't think fire or ice would help. They'd know that I'm an alien then. I think hard until it hits me.

I have to use telepathy.

I start to concentrate on Rogers or Olivia. Then I speak using my mind.

Hey, can anyone hear me? I think.

No one responds for awhile. Then a few minutes pass and I hear someone speak to me. It's not Rogers or Olivia. It's a guy who sounds like he's in his teens, like me.

Yes, I can hear you.

"Did you hear that?!" Olivia yells.

I look confused. I didn't hear anything at all. Just us talking.

"Um, no I didn't. What did you hear?" I ask.

"I heard Rose talking in my head! She must have a new power!" She yells.

I'm stunned. All by herself, nice job. I get up and find the others to tell everyone and they all fill with excitement.

"Can you contact her, Olivia?" Nick says with glee.

"Not sure. I'll try though." She replies.

She closes her eyes and tries to concentrate.

Who are you? I ask.

I get no response.

Then, another voice comes in. It's Olivia! I'm filled with so much joy that I'm jumping and scream silently in excitement.

Olivia! Where are you? I think.

We're back at Dan's house. Where are you?! She replies.

I don't know but I'm in a cell that's all foamed up. I'm really scared, I don't know what to do.

Oh God. Okay, I'll see what I can do okay?

My thoughts are immediately interrupted by the sounds of explosions. My heart thumps and I get ready for who will open my door. Then I hear nothing. Absolutely nothing happens for awhile until I can hear the door open. It opens slowly and I'm backed up in the farthest corner. A man about my age comes in and looks at me with relieved eyes.

"Are you Rose Ziegler?"

I'm hesitant but I nod after a few seconds. The man tries to act cool and walk towards me but ends up losing his balance a couple of times from the foam. They when he's directly in front of me, he speaks in a cool attitude.

"Name's Nathan. I'm here to get you out of here." He says while using his telekinesis to push out the door.

He pushes the door and it crashes into some guards coming in my cell. They fall over, all weak and drop their rifles. Nathan picks up a gun using his mind and holds it with his left hand. Alarms now start to blare.

"And I'm one of you." He says.
