"Wha-What?" I say while im flabbergasted.
"Look, I'm one of your kind! I'd love to tell you more, but honestly, I wouldn't want to get captured here. Now let's go!"
He grabs my hand and we sneak out the front door. The lady whom interrogated me walks out of one of the rooms down the hall with her pistol drawn.
"Freeze! Put her back in the cell!" She shouts.
Nathan walks up to her slowly while I'm still grabbing his hand. The lady looks scared now. She steps back a little and repeats herself.
"F-Freeze! I'm Detective Wecht! Do you know what that means?! I'm a detective! You will stop moving this instance!" She yells with a studder.
Nathan gets within two meters from her and she fires her pistol. I get toppled back a bit so I couldn't see what happened. I'd expect blood pouring on Nathan but he's not injured at all. He has his hand up like he's holding a shield. Detective Wecht fires another shot and this time I can see what happens. Nathan pulls up his arm and it acts like a shield. A blue forcefield comes out and blocks the shot. I look at Wecht and she's completely unmoving. She looks afraid. Like she's seen this before. The military seems like they were prepared for this.
We walk past her and run down several halls until we reach the exit. We exit outside and we enter to what looks like a hangar. Nathan looks around to see if there's something to get us out of here. He looks to his left and spots a airplane. We both run and get inside. Nathan pilots the plane while I sit in back. We both hear gunshots and bullets hitting the plane. Out of frustration, Nathan takes another plane next to it, and he flings it with his telekinesis to those soldiers. They all get hit and fly backwards. I look back to Nathan in awe.
"Don't worry," He says huffing. "They were a pain in the ass anyways."
Nathan starts the plane and we take off. We're in the air as I can see the military base in it's entirety. It's in the middle of nowhere, obviously, in bunch of mountains, and hundreds of vehicles surround the base. Like they were protecting something. Well we're free but they aren't shooting as us. They do have turrets so it should have been an easy target. Unless they're protecting something else.
I check my pockets in case for the necklace, it's still there. That's good. We can go back to the house with the necklace and a plane. I contact Olivia in my head with my telepathy to make sure that I can tell her.
Olivia! I still have the necklace! I'm going back to the house and I'll give it to you! I think.
Oh, thank God! Okay, I'll tell everyone you're still alive! She thinks with excitement.
I laugh a little at that. I'm glad me and Olivia are on good terms. Nathan listens in on my laugh and looks at me.
"Hey, what are you laughing at?" He asks.
"Oh nothing," I respond. "I told my friend that I'm on my way to give her her necklace."
"Ah, so you've picked up telepathy? Nice. I'm still trying to get that figured out."
"What else do you have besides telekinesis and that energy shield?"
"Oh you'll see soon enough. So where are we headed?"
"Oregon"
He nods in response. I sigh at hearing that it's a surprise for revealing his powers. If he has more, I want to see what I'm capable of. I don't push the matter because he seems like a little bit of an asshole.
We head for Oregon when we spot something floating in the air. He spots it and turns to the left.
"What is it?" I ask.
"It's one of the Gavorin warships. I'm going around it. Hopefully, they don't know that we're here." He says with nervousness.
I immediately look at the warship. It's all invisible and the only thing that I can tell it's one from one of it's turrets not being invisible. Probably a malfunction. I stare at the warship glistening in the sunlight. I can now see how big it actually is. It's as big as a football stadium and probably as wide too. I notice one of their turrets moving.
"Uh, should we be worrying about that?" I ask sounding scared.
"Uh," He takes notice too. "Yeah probably. I'm going to decrease in altitude."
We lower ourselves downward so we're below the warship. Then, as soon as he dropped down, the warship starts firing at us.
"What? What did I do?!" Nathan yells.
I contact Olivia so I can tell her to get here to get us. We have to hold up here if we crash.
Olivia! Uh, one of those warships is firing at us! We need back-up or something! If we crash, we'll have to hold up here!
Okay. . . Olivia says sounds nervous.
"Don't worry. We won't crash!" Nathan says, then speeds up the plane.
We're completely understand the warship and it turns itself visible. It shoots at my door and it flings open. I almost fly outward and onto a bunch of dead trees but Nathan I grabs hold of my leg and I push myself upward and close the door, still holding on to it. Nathan brings it to full speed and we end up in front of the huge warship. It stops moving and we continue forward. What happened? Well what's, we escaped!
"Holy crap! That was close," Nathan says. "Why did they stop?"
"Who cares! Let's get back to the house!"
We travel along until we enter Oregon. I see the house and ask Nathan to land. He does so and we land in the barn. I get out and greet everyone inside. They all look at me with glee as I give her the necklace. I check my pockets for the necklace. It's not there. I check all the other pockets while everyone looks at me worried. I stop and look at everyone after I looked in my pockets.
"I, uh, don't have it." I say.
