Chapter 20: Popcorn Fight
-Aiden's pov-
"I love you." She whispers, her eyes shinning with tears.
I wipe her tears with my thumb and put a hand on her check, resting my head against hers. I smile and close my eyes, "I love you too, Tessie."
I open my eyes to see her smiling and looking into my eyes. I stroke her check and my lips touch hers.
"Hey guys? You guys are pretty quiet inside-" I hear the door swinging open but I didn't care. I was too busy kissing the girl of my dreams. "-Oh god! Andddd your kissing now. Okay! I'm out!" She says and the door closes again. My hand keeps stroking Tessie's cheek and the other one moves down to her waist.
Tessie slowly pulls away and gives me a little smile. She puts a strand of strawberry blonde hair behind her ear, blushing and avoiding my eyes.
I smirk, "Whats wrong, Tessie? Can't handle Aiden Walker?"
She pushes my chest gently and chuckles, "No, it's just that... you know-" she says and looks at the door. "That was kinda embarrassing."
I chuckle and kiss her cheek. "Remember the day that I asked you out to the movie theater?" I ask her, hoping that she remembers.
She nods, "It was a date?"
"Yeah... well I hope it was." I say and she smiles, "I'm glad you didn't see me sweating through my shirt that day."
She puts a hand in my hair and plays with it, "You were nervous?"
"Mhm." I say and look away from her.
She smirks, "Aw! The bad boy was scared of asking a nerdy girl out!" She teases and I roll my eyes, smiling.
"That's not the point, Tessie." I say and she stops playing with my hair and smirks at me again.
"Oh? There's a point?" She says, tilting her head a bit.
"Yeah, I was hoping that we could go tonight. You know, since we were fighting on Friday." I say and she frowns at the word "fighting".
"Don't remind me, Aiden. I want to forget that. I want to forget everything and just be happy... with you." She says and puts the head on my chest. Then I feel her smiling against my chest. "Wait a second, are you asking me out, Aiden?"
I smirk, "No, I don't want that to be our first date." I pause and think for a second, "Think of it as a couple just hanging out."
"Oh? We're a couple now, huh?" She says and laughs.
"I- I don't know." Damnit Aiden! You're going to get friend zoned now!
She looks at me and smiles. Then she presses her lips against mine. I love the feeling of her lips against mine. I thought. It felt different from any other kiss. It felt... real.
She pulls away, looking up into my eyes. "Let's go." She says, smiling.
She grabs my hand and our fingers interlock. She pulls me off the bed and opens the door with her free hand. When the door opens I see Trinity sitting on the floor. Her legs were crossed and she had her phone out and was smiling at the phone. She was too busy texting someone that she didn't even notice us.
