Chapter 24: The Fair

I wasn't going to go at first. But then Nick and Trinity arrived and I guess I had no choice but to go.

"That's what your wearing?" Trinity says and looks at my outfit. She stands up from my bed and starts going through my closet.

I was wearing a black top and jean shorts. My hair was straighten and was in a ponytail.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I ask and shoot her a glare.

She turns away from my closet to look at me, "Nothing.. it's just too simple don't you think."

"Do you really think I'm the kind of person to dress up for some guy?" I say a bit too harshly.

Trinity's mouth opens but then closes again, "What has gotten into you? What did Aiden do now?" She says and crosses her arms.

I sit on my bed and look at my black converses. Nick and Aiden were downstairs waiting for us. I put a loose piece of strawberry blonde hair and put it behind my ear and look at her,  "N-nothing."

I didn't want to ruin the night for anyone. We were going to go to the fair to have fun. I didn't want to ruin it because of Aiden.

"Okay.." she says and looks at me suspiciously. She shakes her head and then looks at the door in excitement. "Well, lets go!" She says with excitement in her eyes and makes it to the door, already half way down the stairs.

She totally likes Nick.

I get up from my bed and head out the door. Nick and Aiden were sitting on the couch watching The Walking Dead. My brother, Joey, was standing nearby and glaring at Aiden. I make my way down the stairs and once I hit the last step Aiden gets up from the couch and starts making his way to me.

He smiles at me, "You look beautiful... like usual." He says and grabs my hand.

Lies.

I give him a fake smile and we walk to the door. Trinity and Nick follow behind us. I can feel Joey glaring at Aiden but Aiden doesn't seem to care.

"Where did they go?" I ask and start looking around.

"They probably went to some game or something." Aiden says and gives me a small smile.

No no no! Trinity couldn't have left me here with Aiden. Even though she doesn't know what happened she wouldn't just leave me!

"At least it's just the two of us." Aiden says calmly and gives my hand a little squeeze when I keep looking around. "They're fine, Tessie."

There was a lot of people. They could be anywhere. I go on my tippy toes and try to see if I can spot them but they were gone.

"We have to look for them!" I say and let go of Aiden's hand and start to walk around.

Someone grabs my wrist and my head turns to him. "Do you not want to be with me, Tessie?" Aiden says, sadness in his eyes.

Shit. "N-no it's not that. It's just that I'm worried about them. That's all."

"Okay." He whispers and looks away from me. "Is this about your mom?"

My eyes widen at the question. "What?"

"I'm just worried about you. You've been acting weird since this afternoon." Hmm I wonder why?

"I haven't been acting weird."

"Well, are you okay?" He says and looks at me, a concern look on his face. Does he care?
