LAST TIME…
“This is it, then? You’re just going to leave? I don’t understand. Were it dangerous, I’d be going anyway. I’m only on my second regeneration, I have lots left.”
“Sarah, it’s not just the fact that it’s dangerous, it’s also the fact that … well, I can’t tell you now. Sorry.”
“You’re just going to leave me alone? Isn’t that more dangerous than taking me with you?”
“Whoever said I was leaving you alone? She should be here soon after I’ve left. And, speaking of leaving,” the Doctor stood from his chair and hugged me. “I’ll see you later.”
“Right.”
“I promise.”
I sighed, knowing it was unlikely he’d be back.
The Doctor pulled away. “Come along Ponds,” he said, and stepped into the TARDIS.
Amy smiled sympathetically and followed the Doctor.
“Bye, Sarah, it was nice to meet you,” Rory said awkwardly.
“Bye,” I replied.
The TARDIS doors closed and the engines started. The TARDIS slowly dematerialised and with a great gust of wind, it was gone.
…
I was about to lie down again when there was a knock at the door.
“No, what? Nobody knows this house even exists!” I said.
I got up and made for the front door.
“No, wait!” Brent said, grabbing my wrist. I promptly yanked my hand away. “What if it’s bad guy?”
“Yes, because bad guys always knock on the door before breaking in. It could be the Doctor!”
“Well, I’ll come with you, then.” Brent puffed out his chest. “You need a man to protect you.”
“And because there’s no men, you’ll have to do, eh?”
Before Brent could protest and give his obviously intelligent reply (Probably “Hey!” or just grumble something unintelligent), the knocking came again, more insistent this time.
“Hurry up!” A voice yelled. There was a familiar ring to it that I couldn’t quite place.
“Alright!” I cried, and opened the door.
The person who stood before me, never mind what I said before, gave me the greatest shock of my life.
She smirked. “Hey there! Are you still bored?”
THE END
(For now)
AND NOW…
“Sorry, what?” Brent was the first to speak.
“For once, I completely agree with you. Have I missed something here?” I asked.
“Hmm… No,” the newcomer said.
“Yeah, hang on. You’re… you’re…” Brent couldn’t finish the sentence.
“Me,” I breathed. “There… Are… two of me. Oh, my gosh! This is so cool!”
“Yes, you say that now,” the other me said, looking at me disapprovingly.
Immediately, I was defensive. “Yeah, I say that now.”
