{ I just saw the Supergirl Season 3 trailer and it looked pretty good! Although it seems quite a bit darker than the other seasons, which should be interesting. }
<~> Lena <~>
Lena was absolutely swamped with work, papers were organized into neat piles all across her desk, not to mention the seemingly endless documents and other things that she had to do on her laptop. It was all pressing down on her, but she purposely gave herself tons to do, growing up she'd learn to push herself to the limits, and that was exactly what she intended to do while working. Although she was tired of some of the things that she had to do, she recognized that it was all necessary for running such a big company like L-Corp, and knowing this was what inspired her to complete what she was doing, and a job well done always rewarded her with a sense of satisfaction.
Today, unlike many other days, she did have something that she was looking forward to; an interview with Kara Danvers, her best friend, and quite possibly her only friend in National City. She would be coming fairly soon, so she made sure that everything in her office was neat and organized. After the room was looking pristine, she sat down again and continued to look over the documents and other files, occasionally signing off on one or scribbling down notes into the margins.
She checked the time again, and saw that Kara was scheduled to arrive in just a few minutes, so she put down the paper that she was currently reading over and just turned her chair to look out over National City. It looked normal today, with its towering skyscrapers, crowded streets, and people wandering around that were about the size of ants from this high up. There was no sign of the attack that'd happened yesterday at the Veneficia building.
When Lena had first heard of that, she immediately wondered whether or not her mother or Lex could be behind this, and since Kara was coming today, she suspected that the reporter would most likely ask her something about that. She dearly hoped that it wasn't her family this time, because every time something bad happened involving them, her last name dragged down her reputation more and more. The only person that seemed to fully believe in her was Kara, who always had faith that she was different than her family. She didn't know how that girl could be so positive all the time.
She heard the faint sound of the doors to her office opening and whirled around in her chair to find Jess escorting Kara into the room, even though Lena clearly remembered saying that the reporter was allowed into her office at all times without any other procedures needed. Nonetheless, she smiled as her assistant left the room, leaving them alone so they could get this interview going.
"Kara." She said, and laughed to herself as she saw her friend nervously fidget with her glasses like she always tended to do. Lena thought it was pretty cute. "Please, sit down." The reporter obliged. "Now, you're here to interview me about my family and the bomb attack, I presume?"
