I'll do the soulmate AU l8r- still deciding if I wanna kill anyone off.

Ashton:
"Turn left in 500 feet," the gps instructed Ashton, "and your destination will be on the left."

"We're almost there," you commented happily. Ever since you had hit the third trimester of your pregnancy being in cars had become significantly less fun. You were just so large that you always had to recline the seat so far back you could barely reach the pedals. Even as a passenger, you got motion sick more easily and just felt so cramped.

"Maybe this is the one!" He sounded optimistic, patting your thigh with one hand and turning the wheel with the other.

"Gee I hope because I don't know where we're gonna put the babies if we don't find a house soon," you sighed. It was really poor planning or perhaps a lack of planning altogether that got the two of you in this situation. You were still living in a two-bedroom apartment together that was very nice and close to the studio but not nearly large enough for your rapidly expanding family. The triplets were not planned though, they were a shock to you, Ashton, and your doctor gave you the news almost five months ago.

And yet you were both still out searching, unable to agree on a new residence as your delivery date creeped closer and closer.

"We'll figure it out," he replied comfortingly, "plus I checked it out online and it seems really nice."

"How nice?" You remained skeptical. You were mostly worried that he had overdone it and went for something too large. You didn't want an estate, you wanted a home.

"Oh not that bad, seven bedrooms-"

"Babe! We need four bedrooms!" You reminded him. Evidently your fear had come true. Ashton had picked out a huge house much larger than you needed.

"Well I mean one can be a guest room and we can just fill the others," he looked at you cheekily.

You glared in return, "I am never doing this again." You certainly didn't want to at least, the waddling, the food cravings, crazy hormones, mood swings, puking, rapid bodily expansion, and loss of independence had taken its toll. Besides, three kids was plenty.

"Never say never," he winked.

"Why not? You just did," you said irritatedly. Ashton better check himself if he didn't want your pregnant wrath raining upon him.

"Okay okay, I was just joking," he lied, "but what's wrong with some elbow room?"

You groaned and tried to think of how you wanted to articulate your feelings, "Ashton, I want a home. I want somewhere that we can call and make our own. I don't want dead parts in the house that nobody ever goes into, I want it to be cozy and warm with just the right amount of room. Not too much, not too little."

"Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears?" Ashton giggled, "Not too hot and not too cold?"

"Precisely," you thought he got it, and relaxed a little.

"But if we have two more kids then-"

"ASHTON!"
