I spring awake from my recent sleeping position, the left side of my face covered up with colorful dried paint. Last night I managed to sneak out of our bedroom and into my homemade art room, in order to create Tom's gift. Just because we argued the night before didn't mean that I wasn't going to give him something, I still loved him very much.
My finished masterpiece stood in front of me, all the tones of different colors blending in with each other perfectly. Standing up from the floor, I stretch out my sore limps then walk over to the painting and setting it in the corner of room, making sure to hide it with a white sheet I had. Once I'm done with that I tiptoe down the hall, not really wanting to face Tom at the moment.
Making it into the kitchen, I notice Tom wasn't home at all since I saw a neon sticky note on the counter. I pick it up reading over his sloppy, yet adorable handwriting.
Went out with Haz, be back soon. - T
I frown when I realize he didn't leave an 'I love you' like he normally does whenever he leaves a note for me. Shrugging it off, I walk over to the the fridge, in need of some food especially since my growling stomach was begging for breakfast. Grabbing the first thing that caught my eye- which was two slices of pizza, I heat them up before taking a seat at the table and began to munch them down quickly. Once I'm done with eating my "breakfast", I go to clean my plate only to find another sticky note by the sink.
Whoops! I lied. I totally forgot Haz is gone a vacation for a few weeks, silly me. Anyways go up to the our bedroom, there's something waiting for you. - T
My bare feet shuffle against the cold floor as I do as the note says. Running into the room, I find a one of my gray crop tops, my black pencil skirt, along with another sticky note on the shirt.
I absolutely adore this outfit on you. Now, do me a favor and do your normal lady routine and slip this on, then go over to your art room. - T
I laugh lightly as I set the note down and grab my needed undergarments, going to the bathroom for a quick shower. Sliding out of my pajamas and hopping into the warm shower, I wash up my body and face at a rapid pace then getting out the shower once all that's done. I dry off and blow dry my hair before adding a little bit of makeup to my face. Trudging out of the bathroom, I slip on the outfit that was still laid out, then sliding on my black flats afterwards. Leaving the bedroom, I make my way back to my art room to see a note on the door.
"How in the hell did I miss this?" I ask to no one in particular.
I bet you look beautiful just like you always do, of course. But sadly, I am going to need you to do some walking for me. First stop, Georgie's Flower Shop! - T
Taking the note in my hand along with the others, I make sure to grab my phone and wallet before heading out the house, desperate to find more of these notes.
Lucky for me, Tom and I didn't live that far from the city, so it took me about five minutes to get to the flower shop. The tiny bell ringing above the door of the shop causing the owner, Georgie to look up from counting some cash.
"Ahh, you must be Y/N!" The buff Italian man comes over to me with a bouquet of white roses. "These are from your wonderful boyfriend."
I smile happily, accepting flowers from him. "Thank you, how much for them?"
"Oh no, sweetheart! They're already paid for." He assures me.
