THIRD PERSON:

"Ouch! What the fuck." Y/N curses as her foot lands on the several pieces of Legos that were sprawled around the living room floor. A painful groan leaves her mouth as she bends down to gather the tiny objects in her hand, picking them up one by one.

The front door swings open and in comes her seven year old daughter with soaking wet hair, laughter erupting from her.

"Mama, I'm hungry!" She exclaims, walking into the living room where her mom was still picking up the Legos.

Y/N sighs, catching her balance as she stands up straighter. "Your sandwich is on the counter. And I thought I told you to clean up your toys before you went outside, Sammy?"

Her daughter awkwardly nods before she runs off to the kitchen. Y/N shakes her head, tossing the Legos in a blue bin beside the couch. She then follows her child into the kitchen, seeing her daughter already stuffing her mouth with the rest of her sandwich.

"Honey, slow down, will you? I can't have you choking because you literally shoved your lunch down your throat." She says as she begins to wash the rest of the dirty dishes that were in the soapy water.

The seven year old smacks her lips together, dabbing her mouth with the napkin by her plate. "I can't help that I'm a growing young woman!"

Y/N lightly laughs at her daughter's exaggeration, washing up the last plate. "Alright, alright. How about you go find a movie for us to watch? We can just have girl time for the rest of the day, if you'd like?"

"Yes! Where's Pinocchio?" She questions, getting excited at the thought of her and Mama having a girls day.

"I don't know, but you better find it before I come in there and we'll be watching the The Breakfast Club again." Y/N teases, because she knew that her daughter hated that movie with a passion for some odd reason.

"Bye!" Sammy dashes out the kitchen, ready to find her favorite Disney film.

Y/N dries her hands off with a dish towel, then made her way back to the living room. She watches her daughter in awe as Sammy digs through the movie box, desperately searching for her Disney movie.

"I found it!" She shouts as she pulls it out from under a pile, placing the CD into the DVD player.

Y/N gets comfortable on the couch with the young one following right behind her. Sammy's petite body cuddles into her mom's side as the film begins, Y/N wrapping an arm around her little girl.

"Can we have a family night when Daddy comes back home tonight?" Sammy asks, sucking on her thumb: a bad habit she's had since she was two years old.

"Uh- I don't know, honey. You see, Daddy has been away from home for about a month and he's probably going to be pretty jet lag." Y/N says.

Sammy whimpers, her eyes still focused on the television screen. "I wish he didn't travel as much as he does. Luke always talks about how him and his dad go on trips together every Saturday."

Her words cause Y/N's heart to shatter and she couldn't help but worry for the relationship between her husband and his own daughter.
