THIRD PERSON:

The cool breeze came through the window that was slightly open, sunlight flowing through right behind it. The sheets ruffled as Y/N stirred around in her sleep, her eyes slowly fluttering open and meeting with the sunshine that almost blinded her. She smacks her dry lips together, as she tries to figure why the hell her head was pounding so much.

"Oh! Sleeping beauty arises." A familiar voice singsongs, which then causes her to remember where her headache came from. "I bought you some ibuprofen and water- drink it now and your shitty headache will be gone immediately."

Y/N sits up once her best friend, Kendall, settles at the foot of his bed while handing her the drink and medicine.

She sends him a lazy smile before downing the four 200mg pills with the glass of water. "Thank you, Ken. Sorry for taking your bed again, you could've made me a comfy pallet on the floor though."

"Hell no! We've been over this a thousand times Y/Nn- you get the bed and I'll get my living room couch." Kendall states, playfully patting her leg. "Anywho, you wanna get freshened up then we can head out for some brunch? It'll be on me."

"Actually-" Y/N begins, but then cuts herself short. "You know what, yeah, yeah. I mean, how on earth could I pass up on free food?" She teases, making him laugh. "Give me ten minutes then we can leave."

Kendall nods and leaves his room, letting Y/N be alone to freshen up. Once he leaves she grabs her phone from his charger and clicks on the home button. Her smile that she once held fell when she saw thirty texts and twenty-three phone calls from a certain someone. Instead, of responding or calling back, she sets the device down and goes into the bathroom.

"Holy shit!" Kendall shouts, causing a few daggers to be sent towards their table at the little diner.

"Keep your voice down before we get kicked out." Y/N warns, giggling and taking a bite out of her breakfast sandwich. "What's up though? One of your women call the police on you again?" She jokes, peeking over at his phone that he was typing furiously on.

"No, but you remember Nia?" He asks, which she nods in response. "Well, last month when I went out with some old football buddies we ran into each other and we-"

"You had a one night stand with her, didn't you?" Y/N finishes for him, raising her eyebrow at him.

Kendall looks down at his food shamefully, knowing Y/N was about to get on him. "Yes...she keeps texting and calling me saying she is pregnant because she missed her period. However, I feel like she just saying that to see me again because she said she hasn't even taken a test or went to the doctor."

Y/N feels goosebumps appear at the mention of pregnancy, but she shakes it off. "Damn, Kendall. You're probably gonna need to buy her test and head over to her house to find out for yourself. If she is pregnant, then I don't know what to tell you, buddy. Besides, the fact that this will be a lesson for you and you won't be having one night stands anymore."

"Ugh, I hate it when you go all "mother" on me, but you're right. We'll finish up here, I'll drop you off at home and then I'll go see her."

As she chews on her last bite of her breakfast sandwich, she starts coughing, choking on the food.

"No, no, no! I'll just go with you, but wait in the car." Y/N says once she's finally done coughing.

Kendall shakes his head, "Y/Nn, you need to  go home and handle things on your own. Just like I'm going to handle my problems with Nia on my own."
