Y/N POV:
I sat in the corner of the room, reading one of my favorite books. Although, I couldn't really enjoy it as much since the scent of sweaty men filled my nostrils, making me feel sick to my stomach.
The sound of laughter fills my ears as my attention drifts away from the page that held many words in a tiny font. I look to see Tom cackling over his trainer, the poor man on the ground clutching onto his stomach.
No matter what, I've always admired the way Tom's eyes would kind of squint whenever he was laughing hard. Or the way he'd lick his lips several times whenever he was anxious about something.
"Hey, baby."
The familiar thick English accent shakes me from my thoughts, and I'm met with Tom who was now standing over me. A small smile is on his face as he takes the water bottle away from his lips. Kneeling down to my level, he intertwines one of my hands with his, his thumb rubbing gently over my knuckles.
"Hey," I answer, after realizing that I hadn't said anything for the past two minutes. "Are you done or is it only break time?"
He sighs, "I'm actually done, but I'm not ready to leave just yet."
My eyebrows furrow together as I slowly lay the book down on my lap. "We've been here for like seven hours. . .how are you not ready to go?"
He notices my teasing tone, laughing lightly, "Because I want to teach my girl how to box."
My mouth drops open as my eyes scan around at the people surrounding us. "I don't know who your girl is, but I do know that she wouldn't love to do that. Some girls don't like to embarrass themselves."
"Ah come on, love!" He exclaims, while adjusting his position. "I'm leaving soon for filming and if I'm not going to be here to protect you, then I want you to know a little bit of self-defense."
"Tom, I'll be fine, I promise." I assure, but he still isn't buying it.
He glances over to the men throwing harsh punches at some punching bags before looking back to me with a slight frown. "Please? I wouldn't be able to deal with myself if I got a call saying you were hurt or missing. The least you could do to someone is kick them where the sun don't shine and runaway from them within seconds."
My heart wells up at the fact on how much he cared for my safety and I knew I couldn't say 'no' even if I tried.
"Okay, okay." I shut my book, hopping up off the dusty floor. "Well, lets go! I'm missing out on a very important relationship in my novel all because of boxing. Although, I did take karate whe-"
"You were five years old." Tom interrupts, standing up from his spot and wrapping an arm around my waist.
The two of us end up going to a blue mat instead of the ring where him and his trainer were earlier. He gives me a pair of gloves, then straps some different ones on his hands. I don't know what you call them, but all I know is that his trainer wears them and Tom will always be punching away at his hands.
