"Gabriela, I'd like for you to meet my good friend Lucy, and her daughter Casey" Joan greeted. "Lucy, this is my daughter Gabriela"
"Wow, Incredible" Lucy stated as her eyes traveled down Gabriela's body before returning to her face. Gabriela felt violated in a way. "She's adorable and she even looks like you, where ever did you find her?"
"Oh, actually, she found me. I saw her walking down the road and as soon as I saw her I knew she was destined to be mine" Joan stated proudly.
Gabriela felt her cheeks heat up. Something was wrong with both Joan and Lucy. She glanced behind Lucy to look at the young lady who stood behind her with her head down. Gabriela figured the two must be around the same age. She couldn't help but notice that the pair looked nothing alike. Lucy was a tall woman, brown hair and light brown eyes. Though she was pretty Casey looked nothing like her. If Gabriela had to guess she would say that maybe Casey was bi-racial. She had black, long wavy hair that was braided into two pig tail braids, for a moment the two connected eyes and Gabriela could see her dark brown eyes, she looked so sad. Casey was very pretty, as was Lucy, but she had a hunch that the two wasn't related.
"Casey" Lucy stated in a threatening tone. "Don't be rude, say hello to Gabriela and Joan"
"Hi" Casey whispered. She gave a quick wave before lowering her eyes back to her feet.
"Sorry about her Joan. My little one got into trouble earlier and I had to correct some bad behavior, but she's learned her lesson and will be a good girl from now on, won't you Casey?"
"Yes Mommy" The teen whispered.
"Well, let's eat shall we, I made Lasagna" Joan stated excitedly as she turned and walked towards the kitchen. Everyone followed.
