There is a reason why the heroine was so weak and yet was the heroine in the game. As we all know every small action has a reason and perhaps a story behind it. Sometimes good can be perceived as evil and vise versa. This is one of those stories

(Lark/ Silence's POV)
"Lark, this is your cousin Angel. Her parents just died so you should care for her," mother said warmly, yet her eyes said otherwise. I have never been my mother's nor fathers favorite, sometimes I see them looking longingly at other children. I suppose I can't blame them, I contradicted everything they want for a child. I skipped lessons, failed tests and wasn't exactly good at magick. I even often with the servants and pranked other of the nobilities children, and also practiced the dark arts. Though no one needed to know the last bit.

I looked at Angel and felt her innocent, weak aura surround me. Her eyes were still watery, but even that didn't take away from her beauty..........she wouldn't last very long. She is easy prey for spirits in need of a body, and with her beauty many men would fall in love with her. It would most likely result in jealous females. Ah, this isn't good, I'll have to do something about that.....

"M-Kay, but I gotta go. See ya," I quickly said, infuriating my mother with my 'improper' way of speaking. I ignored it though, it was a common occurrence, besides I had a lot to think about.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Mother found her kid," I said, sighing, "Pretty face she has. Big blue eyes and silky hair........innocent too.........no doubt a perfect lady."

"Those types wouldn't last long there," my best and only friend Aspen replied.  We both knew what there meant. With her beauty, that's where she would most likely end up.

No one spoke for a few seconds, we just stayed there staring at the starry night sky.

"I'm going to die soon aren't I?" I asked, breaking the silence.

He didn't respond for a few moments, "If only others see your kindness."

"Say, when I die would you watch over them for me, keep them from getting killed and all? It would be a shame if they were killed after all my hard work."

".......I'll do my best," Aspen said quietly, "but you don't have to die."

I shifted my position to look at him, "someone has to sacrifice for the other to have something that's close to a happy ending."

"You could have a happy ending-"

"But I wouldn't be truly happy. Aspen, I'm going to die we should enjoy our time before we do."

'Why can't I be happy?'
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You think people are just gonna do everything for you? Who do you think you are? You aren't the queen yet," Lark sneered.

As someone gullible and a low self esteem Angel had already started to cry, "I wasn't I-I-"

"And you think cryings gonna fix things? Come back here when you've stopped crying."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Your so weak! To actually let yourself be kidnapped without any resistance! D'ya  think that your always gonna be  saved every time your in trouble? How many people d'ya think coulda died 'cause of you? And you actually let it happen? Enough with that crying! It doesn't do you any good."

"S-sorry, I-I didn't-"

"Sorry? Ya actually think that sorry is gonna cover up all the death's that could've happened?"
