Panem high- An everlark fan fiction

Chapter 1

Katniss' POV
Beep, Beep, Beep
Ugh, I really don't feel like going to school today. Only one thought gets me out of bed Gale. I've been waiting years for him to ask me to be his girlfriend, and hopefully today is the day!

I quickly get out of bed and get dressed, I put on some black leggings with brown heel knee high boots and a dark green sweater that only covers one shoulder. (Image above)

Soon my ride is here, my best friends clove, delly, and Annie are here to pick me up. I get in the car and we start sing along to the radio, if anyone were to see us they'd think we are crazy!

We get to school and meet up with the boys gale, Finnick, Cato and Marvel. Annie and Finnick are dating they are so cute together team Fannie! Clove and Cato are also together #clato!

The day goes by pretty quick and before I know it it's lunch time.

"Hey guys" I say before I take my usual seat next to Gale and Annie. "Hey" they all respond in unison.

"Look at loser Mellark over there, sitting by himself again,pft twerp, he deserves to be alone." Gale says angrily, I look over and see Mellark, I mean Peeta sitting all by himself at a table I almost feel bad for him. Almost.

"And why does he deserve it, he's not doing anything wrong." I ask Gale, because I would really like to hear his explanation.

"Come on katniss are you really taking his side, he's a fucking loser, can't you see!" Gale practically yells and I'm pretty sure everyone heard it.

"Obviously" I agree. I don't feel all that great publicly agreeing with Gale but I do have a reputation to up hold. Sometimes I wonder why I even like gale, Then I remember he's really fucking hot.

Lunch is over and now I have math class. It goes by really quick.

"Alright class now we are going to do a fun project for the next week and you will each have a partner alright let's see" Mr. Abernathy says looking at a list of names.

"Gale and Cato. Clove and Annie. Glimmer and Gloss . Katniss and...... Peeta"

Did I hear that right? I can't be partners with Peeta, I mean I do feel sorry for him and all but like I said earlier I have a reputation to uphold! And being partners with him, will make me the laughing stock of the school, ugh why me!

"Alright you may go to your partners" Mr. Abernathy tells us. I slowly walk over to Peeta because knowing how shy he is he would have never walked over to me.

"Hey" I say awkwardly

"Hi" he says shyly

"So... umm...we could meet at my house later today. You know where I Live right?" I ask he just responds with a quick nod and walks away, huh I've never felt more awkward in my life.

It was almost time for Peeta to be here, I feel like he won't be doing a lot of talking he's very shy. I hear the doorbell and rush to go get it.
