Chapter 4

Katniss POV
"Peeta..." I say quietly,

"Yeah," he responds.

"Umm...uh...can you turn on the radio?" I ask. I just couldn't tell him it's too soon, what if he doesn't like me back? Not that it matters we could never be together.

"Sure, why were you so nervous to ask that?" He laughs. I just shrug feeling upset with myself for being such a coward.

Soon we get to school and the day goes by pretty slow. When it's Lunch I go sit at my usual table at my usual spot. I'm realizing that I don't like Gale to much anymore, but it still bothers me when the school slut glimmer try's to flirt with him.

Of course Gale denies her because word on the street he likes me, I should be excited about this but I'm not, what. Is. Happening. To. Me?

When I'm on my way to math class I hear a loud bang in the hallway.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER" I hear a loud voice shout.

I quickly run over to see what's going on and I'm shocked at what I see.

"What The Fuck Gale!" I yell at him, I see an unconscious Peeta on the floor. I run over to him and try to wake him but it doesn't work.

"Why do you care he deserves it, he was disrespecting you." Gale responds as if he hadn't just knocked someone unconscious.

"No Gale, the only person that deserves this for disrespecting me is you, I'm tired of waiting for you. I'm glad that you didn't want me, because now I see how much of a stupid jerk you are!" I yell at him in frustration.

"Oh my. . . I get it now. The only reason that your defending him is because your sleeping with him aren't you." Gale smirks. I roll my eyes.

"What why would you even think that?"

"Wasn't he at your house yesterday, and didn't he stay the night too." Gale says

"You Son Of A Bitch, were you spying on me!" I yell, how could he, wow and to think I used to have a crush on him.

"Maybe I was, Maybe I wasn't, Maybe I have my sources" he smirks and casually walks away. I just scoff. I will get Gale back for this.
