Chapter 5

Chapter 5 (7 days before Hogwarts)

Harry had awoken, last night he suffered no nightmares thankfully, and waking in Draco's arms made the teen smile and snuggle in to the bare chest his head rested on. It seemed like talking about, rather, showing his mate what had happened to him ad done Harry a world of good. What harry didn't know was that after Harry had fallen asleep on Draco, the teen had gone immediately downstairs to tell Remus about the extent of abuse Harry had endured from the Dursleys. The Werewolf hadn't taken the news lightly, having to leave for a moment to blow off steam and anger. This lead to the two of them starting to develop a plan, a plan to make sure that the Dursleys would pay, and they would dearly regret what they had done to their Harry. Draco smiled as he ran his fingers through silky black wild locks. Harry sighed in contentment before turning his head to look at Draco.

"'Morning" Harry mumbled yawning cutely, Draco kissed Harry's forehead.

"Good morning my little mate" Draco smiled before sitting up, taking Harry with him. Harry yawned again before he pulled away stretching while he sat, reaching his hand above his head as his back arched slightly at the stretch. Draco smirked, his little mate looking suggestive without even meaning to. Harry stopped and smiled, kissed Draco's nose before heading to use the shower connected to their room. Draco shook his head before getting up and using the shower down the hall. Harry had finished first, dressing in a black shirt with a silver snake coiled around the front, and wearing black skinny jeans. Istral came up behind Harry, slithering up his leg, Harry smiled and offered his arm, the snake wrapped up his arm, laying his head on his master's shoulder, licking his face in a greeting causing Harry to smile at his familiar. Harry made his way down stairs, affectionately petting Fawkes' head briefly before going into the kitchen and sitting down. Draco made his way down not long after, sitting next to Harry. Remus was already at the table waiting for the teens before he ate. After breakfast Harry sat down on the couch, cuddling up to Draco. Remus sat in the armchair smiling at his cub, he was happy that Harry was safe and happy, for now that was all that mattered, later he and Draco would get revenge for the small teen.

"So cub, you ready to go back to Hogwarts?" Remus asked smiling. Harry's smile fell slightly before resting his head on Draco's shoulder, Draco tightened his grip on Harry's hips in return, a supporting gesture.

"I'm a little nervous" Harry admitted, glancing down at the floor in worry. Hogwarts wouldn't be easy this year for him, that he was sure of.

"Why's that Harry?" Remus asked quite concerned at the statement, Harry had always liked going to school, so now that he wasn't the werewolf was worried. What could have made him nervous about the school?

"I don't wanna be separated from Dray." Harry said, Draco smirked, leaning his head on Harry's. Remus chuckled as he watched Harry and Draco interact. While he may have been worried about the two when Draco first arrived he had since then accepted that Draco was the only one best suited for his cub, he knew the blond would protect his cub with his life and make him happy, providing Harry all the love he needed and more.

"Yes well that's been taken care of cub." Remus said smiling reassuringly. Startled Harry lifted his head, looking at Remus questioningly. Draco chuckled and petted Harry's hair, Harry was confused, and Draco was in on it too? "Let me explain Harry, Draco has his own room this year. It's separate from the Slytherin dorms, since he's a magical creature Dumbledore thought it appropriate to give him his own room especially because he is part Veela. Magical creatures often get their own rooms because often times they need to be separated from normal students, their being a creature could cause problems when sleeping in closed quarters with others besides their mates, and Veelas don't particularly like being touched if you're not their mate and can get quite violent if they find them and are forced to be separated. If a Veela finds their mate in school they always room together. You also have your own room, for the same reasons. You still get the passwords to your houses' common rooms so don't worry about that cub, no one knows what type of creature you are and that's to protect you. All anyone knows right now is that you've come into a creature Inheritance but not what type, some might assume it's a Veela Inheritance or Vampire for those are the most common among students in Hogwarts. It would be best if you keep your Elvin heritage a secret." Remus was smiling. Harry looked up at Draco who smiled down at him. Relaxed Harry smiled back before resuming his earlier position on Draco. "Is there anything else Harry?" Harry nodded.
