Blythe strangled out a gasp at the atrocious sight, gagging because of the putrid stench the decayed corpse emitted. Her eyes surveyed the dark dungeon to see a small bed, another small space that resembled a bathroom, an old and broken vanity and a chain that linked from the skeleton and ran to a metallic loop in the brick wall. The hissing quieted just as Blythe went under a trance where her mind traveled back.
She was transported back into the living room area just as someone walked into the foyer and a brilliant radiance took over the mansion and all its grandeur was renewed. Blythe looked around to see a beautiful young woman dressed in a classy Victorian gown with her hair in a bun knitting and a young man who looked about sixteen with twists that were fixed into a bun. He was dressed in a navy blue Victorian tuxedo with black dress shoes and his fingers were adorned with Gothic rings.
"Maman! Some man outside said he's looking for you!", his deep accented voice sounded out, causing Adelaide's head to shoot up from her project just as another man walked through the door that looked identical to the first one. His attire consisted of a tux similar to his doppelganger except the color was grey as well as the Gothic rings that embellished his large hands. "Who did he say he was, Laurent?", she stood to address her sons appropriately."Kenneth, Maman. He said you were old friends.", the opposite twin explained further and Adelaide's blood ran cold so she quickly told the boys to inform this Kenneth that she wasn't available and to come back in a few days as she quickly, yet gracefully, ran up the stairs.
Blythe followed her to see her packing in a hurry when her sons came up. "Where are you going?", the one identified as Laurent inquired as he watched his mother's actions. "Babies, I'm gonna need you guys to pack a few of your things. I'll explain it later but we need to go in the next hour.", she hastily began to haul her luggage while her sons left to comply to her wish.
Within the next forty-five minutes, the Bourgeois family packed their valuables for their unexpected "vacation" and loaded their belongings and got in to their 1940 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Convertible Sedan ignorant to the fact that Kenneth was lurking nearby...
