Author POV-
Moments later, Blythe arose with a newfound energy to her body but a dead look in her eyes. All of her senses were paranormally heightened and a dark amber aura surrounded her. From her crouched position, her legs launched her onto the wall and her sharpened nails scratched at the vintage wallpaper until it revealed a hollow 'brick' wall. Her tongue ran over her, now, edged teeth before her fist punched through the barrier to reveal a small metal box implanted in the wall. Her hands opened the container to reveal a silver blade attached to a onyx colored handle with a sapphire gem on the end.
"Kill the demon of Kenneth, Blythe..."
Her mouth pulled back into a snarl as a rough growl left her throat. Her hand slowly crept into the box to grab the handle before dropping the hutch onto the ground with a thud. Her dead amber eyes glared at the gleam of the silver blade while her right hand raised to line her hand against it. Her right hand ticked as the metal winked at her, provoking her itch to slide it down her wrist. The voice of Loaraline ran through her mind.
"Kill the demon of Kenneth..."
Then the sharp metal of the dagger slid across her arm, leaving a deep mark that leaked an onyx colored liquid that resembled blood. The blackness dripped onto the floor and started to form words as a black smoke rose from the letters. As the black ran out, the color gradually reverted back to the crimson red that flowed through the veins of her host and the cut began to heal itself.
The blade dropped onto the floor with a dull thud and the unconventional facial features Blythe had acquired retreated as her possessor vacated her body and returned to the shadows. She was in a daze when she came back, but when she quickly composed herself, she instantly took notice of the inscription.
It read:
I am the demon of Kenneth, and I killed Adelaide. The Twins had yet to know this but, Kenneth was their father and he ran out on them before they were born. The remorse and anger he felt soon created me. You can never kill me, I'm too powerful, even with Kenneth dead and buried. I have trapped the spirits of Adelaide, her boys, and Loaraline within these walls and cursed them to haunt the people of this city until either the Prophecy was fulfilled or the evil that is I prevailed.
I'm sure that you are aware of what you must do, so with no further ado...
