Author POV-

A screech that resembled a battle cry rang out just as Blythe reached for her weapon, causing her to swing her hand back once the handle was in her grasp. Daevas' 'flesh' was pierced and torn by the blade, revealing a lighter tone of flesh beneath the obscurity. A whimper escaped the demon and incoherent words were mumbled but was quickly covered by a satanic growl. Blythe attacked as the 'human' staggered in a battle within itself as the light fought the darker tone.

Blythe furrowed her eyebrows as she watched Daevas grip his head in pain. His black skin-like covering seemed to vibrate and peel off of the lighter tone. Blythe felt the wind slowly start to whirl around the atmosphere before it halted and Daevas took his hands away from his face.

Blythe's defense was back as the demon stood to his feet, with his wound open and the flesh tone gone, and attacked again, knocking Blythe to the floor. The force caused the blade to hit the floor with a dull clank, drawing the attention of her aggressor. Then it started...

It was a battle to the blade, both parties exchanging blows and shoving each to the ground in order to beat the other to the weapon. The closer the other would get, the harder they fought to get the upper hand until Blythe managed to grip the sharp edge with her right hand as her left punched Daevas. With her blood dripping down the knife, she proceeded to hit the assailant with the blunt end of the handle in his eye, causing him to stagger off of her in agony.

She quickly got up and aimed the blade by the tip of the blade and launched it at him, hitting his heart. The scream from Daevas seemed to initiate a chain reaction from the house, starting with the wind that whirled the curtains. It seemed as though the impact from the knife sent him flying towards the wall and pinned him to it like a poster. Harsh winds whirred around the house and whispered voices that grew louder rang throughout the space, causing Blythe to crouch down holding her ears. The chaotic world lasted all of 30 seconds but carried on like an eternity. Blythe felt a prick in her arm before she lost consciousness and the world around her grew quiet...

Blythe POV-

"Almost done, Blythe...Last thing...Save us...", whispers met my ears like a buzz. My head was pounding and the pain was only amplified by the murmurs. My eyes peeled open and my body shifted only to find myself bounded the the bed of the former matriarch. My mouth felt as though it had been stuffed with cotton when I tried to yell out for help. The sudden shine of the sun blinded me and I briefly panicked about time, however, that was shadowed by curiosity as the mansion was restored to it's former glory. "Your family killed us...Now you must watch...", a harsh deep voice spoke before a faint vision of my family restricted to chairs with their mouths sealed shut with duct tape.

Author POV-

A darkness began to look over them as Blythe began to struggle against her restraints. The cloud began to personify into two tall figures like the ones in her visions. They were clothed in the same clothes from that night, same face, same youthful characteristics...but their eyes glowed a malignant red. The one on the left with the longer twist walked up and gripped her throat, immediately halting her struggle.

"Don't fight. It was your destiny to watch as we killed your family.", he growled, his fangs displayed in the most malicious way. He turned her head to face his twin brother, "After all, it was you that killed us...".
