She watched as the other trailed the same blade she had used on Kenneth, blood and all, trailed on her unconscious mother's face. Her, now, moist mouth began to form weak words, "What are you talking about?".
Her question was met with a cold laugh and a sharp claw trailing down her cheek, "You don't remember us, do you Ravynne?". Her head shook as she flinched from the hand and whimpered in fright, "Why do you think you know about what happened? You were there, we went to you for guidance after the passing of our mother..."
>Flashback<
"Larry? I no know if we should do this. I'm scared.", Laurent cuddled up to his brother under the empyrean radiance of the night sky, causing his other half to wrap his long arm around his mirror. "Me too, Lau, but what choice do we have?", Larry's arm retracted after a few moments and trailed down the limb of his elder copy to his hand, pulling him towards the building.
Once they knocked on the door, a vile and scratchy, "Enter...", pierced their ears just as the door opened with no one behind it. "Madam Ravynne?", the frightened voice of the younger twin filled the eerie silence. "Come forward...Larry and Laurent...I've been expecting you.", a pale brown and wrinkled hand grasped at the splintered wood of the wall.
They recoiled upon instinct, cowering away from the limb, afraid of the power it held. "I know what brings you here my children. The spirit of your mother has fallen and you wish to resurrect her corpse, correct?", she waxed as a long blue feather and a red cloth flew into the air as she closed the door, revealing a suddenly much younger woman. Her left green eye stared at her visitors as her right stormy grey one squinted, trying to focus her vision.
"Yes Madam Ravynne.", the lesser intimidated brother, Larry, answered with just the slightest quiver in his tone. "You realize the price for such magic, young one? What you must give up in order to be given this gift?", she proceeded to create the potion needed for the request once both boys gave a solid nod.
"In order for this gift to be given, you shall serve as a servant until a prophecy is met.", she threw the blue feather as well as a Picture Jasper stone and a Aragonite stone before walking to a huge black cauldron that stood at half the height of the tall brothers. The mixture consisting of blood from a doe, three deceased frogs, and water from the nearby stream brewed to a rolling boil before Ravynne threw in the stones into the potion. She closed her eyes before blindly walking over to a large cabinet, filled with ingredients for the spells she often casted, reaching for a bottle filled with an inky substance and a knife like the one Blythe had wielded against Daevas.
She poured half of the bottle in the potion before walking towards the elder twin, grasping his hand and slicing at his palm, drawing the rich red substance that was his life essence. He winced in pain as his double grasped his hand in agony before feeling the metallic sanguine fluid seep through his fingers, whimpering at the sight.
Ravynne's eyes rolled to the back of her head before licking up the blood of Laurent and spitting it into the cauldron and repeating the action to Larry, causing smoke to emit a black and red smoke to rise. She began chanting in Latin as the twins' features obscured and their eyes blazed a brilliant red before rising threw the ceiling.
Malevolent cackling that resembled a malicious witch sounded as an ominous black smog left the barely lit brick structure. Just then, two ghastly and arduous howls sounded out into the air and a pair of obscure ghostly figures with two luminous red eyes per silhouette. "Help us, Blythe...
Save us..."
*Back To Present*
She panted in confusion at the turn of events. Surely, her grandmother hadn't set her up for death, it had to be a trick, but who was it? Kenneth was dead and so was Daevas. Her mind racked with possible suspects as Laurent stalked in front of her, unbeknownst to her, with Blythe's blood dripping from his sharp canines. "It won't be long till you join us in this Hell, just like you were meant to...", he snarled as Blythe's vision blurred and returned with a sudden sharpness as they burned due to the changing in pigment. Her mind didn't silence as her body fought the change while figuring a way out of death and to save her family.
