Author POV-
A harsh chill ran up the spine of Blythe and time seemed to stand still. Not a sound could be heard, not even the scratching. Not even the faintest gust of wind could be felt. The once whirling curtains were stuck in midair as if a pause button had been pressed. Even the floating dust particles had halted in the given light, giving the mansion an eerie and illusive facade.
Blythe stood in trepidation at the scene before her just as the ground started to quake in strong tremors and she felt like she was sinking. Shadows started to swarm around her causing her to shriek in horror. She tried to move, to run away from the phantoms, but her feet barely moved as if gravity had plagued her. Her mind constantly sent frightening messages to her body and she fell to the floor heaving.
She could faintly here the Demon's warning over the sudden wind in her ears as she was once again transferred back. Her vision was vague and not as clear and vivid as the others but once she saw what Kenneth (Daevas) was doing with Adelaide in the basement, her face scrunched in disgust.
She watched him take Lady Adelaide's half naked unconscious body and chain her to a small iron loop on in the brick wall. He smiled devilishly before tossing her defenseless figure onto the worn out bed. His eyes flashed red and he brought his hands up to rip her brassiere before he leaned down to roughly bite her neck. He spoke in a rough growl as Adelaide's body began to move lazily as she regained consciousness, "You should have taken him back...now your stuck with me."
Blythe could feel the bile rising as she witnessed this event she was unable to stop. She came back to her reality with a newfound hatred for the demon. Her eyes glowed red with anger from the phantoms' energy. Her voice came out rough and livid, "Let the games begin...".
She picked up the knife and gripped the handle as she looked around for a sign of a malicious demon ready to strike. The tension was thick in the dead and still of night and it kept them both on edge as Daevas, the Demon, stalked Blythe, timing his attack. They stood at a blind stand off, both at the ready to attack if necessary until a screeching howl sounded off into the night, causing Blythe to cup her ears at the noise.
The blade dropped to the floor with a dull clank and she lost her composure for a moments until the noise ended...
Unaware to the menacing and malignant demon that crept behind her...
