He looked up and down at me. Annoyed at his actions, I rolled my eyes. As he continued to stare at me, I took a notice to his outfit. He was wearing a plain black shirt with his top button undone. He wore black jeans and black trainers. He sighed and ruffled his hair.
He looked at me with a blank expression on his face and asked "Can I come in?"
I scoffed "Why exactly should I let you inside?"
Zayne put his hands in his jean pockets. He then looked down and began chuckling.
"What's so damn funny?" I asked, growling.
He brought his head up and faced me, smiling "I'm the son of your...'new neighbours'".
My eyes widened in disbelief. Goodness gracious, my life was going to be hell. My neighbour is a hot jerk which...actually makes him not so hot. I moved aside and let him in. This dinner was going to be a very interesting one. I then saw my sister's boyfriend walking up to the door. I smiled and greeted him. Ricardo made his way into the kitchen, helping out serving dinner. I decided to go and talk to Jessica and Shade. They were actually nice people, unlike their son. I brushed myself off and went to sit down at the table. I looked at Jessica's ring and realised, she was engaged, not married. The ring was still magnificent, simple and the diamond didn't look too big.
"That's a beautiful ring, Jessica" I smiled, my gaze still admiring the unique ring.
She laughed "Thank you Dear"
Shade smiled "We've been engaged for fifteen years"
"He actually proposed the day I found out I was pregnant with Zayne!" Jessica giggled.
"She didn't even tell me 'till after I proposed" Shade rolled his eyes, smiling. I smiled too, because they reminded me how my parents loved each other. My sister inherited my mother's beauty on the other hand, I inherited her personality. I had some of her features, including her glorious strawberry blonde curls. I loved my hair, because sometimes, when I looked at the mirror I didn't see my reflection. I didn't see my reflection because I saw my mother. I saw my mother in...me. I was so lost in thought, I didn't even realise my sister was talking to me?
"Blaze?" Bree asked nervously.
I chuckled to myelf "I'm....sorry"
"Thinking 'bout her again?" She asked, with a weak smile might I add. I nodded yes.
"Thinking about who?" Zayne asked bewildered. My gaze flickered at him, he tilted his head in the process. He was waiting for a response.
"Mum" I whispered. I lifted up my fork, biting the piece of lamb in front of me. I was usually a big eater and loved meat, but I pushed my chair back.
I looked at everyone, then lowered my head to the plate of food, waiting to be eaten.
I smiled and muttered "I've lost my appetite" I ran upstairs and changed into ripped jeans and a tank top. Dashing outside, I took Ricardo's keys and jumped on the motorcycle, speeding into the night. My helmet wasn't on so the wind calmed me down whilst it hit my face. It was as if my hair was flying through the dark of the night, lighting the streets up with it's red, hot, burning fire. I smiled to myself, then chuckled with glistening tears threatening to roll down my cheeks. Now you know why I was called Blaze, better yet,now you know why the world knew my mother as Flame Adara Rivers.
