Chapter Eleven- The Cons Of Being At A Party

Jake's POV

"Of course we're winning." I smirked as the smiles on the two girls' faces widened. "Have the Blasters," I paused before adding with a wink, "I mean, The Multiple Scorgasms ever lost a game?"

The smile of the first girl, Lara, was a flirty one and I could tell that I had impressed her. Whereas the grin the other girl, Mia displayed was filled with knowing. Over the years of having girls constantly flirt with me, I learned how to differentiate between a real smile, a flirty one and a fake one.

Mia was one of the few people who knew me before popularity hit me, who grew up with me and knew about my past. We were best friends until sixth grade, when she decided that she preferred girls to guys after Josh, my other childhood best friend, dumped her. That sort of separated the three of us. She got her own group of friends and I got mine, but that didn't mean we weren't friends. Four years post that incident our friendship was going strong.

Lara, on the other hand, was what you would call a 'one-night stand'. Except that I didn't plan on sleeping with her, how much ever she thought I did. Sure, she's hot and even though Ariana couldn't care less, I was not interested. Still, I was flirting with her for the sole reason of entertainment.

But, Jake! Isn't Ariana your girlfriend? You say.

Yeah. About our 'relationship'. I'm not sure if that is even what I should call it. It isn't as much of a relationship as it is a deal. She wanted popularity. I needed control over my fangirls. It was a win-win situation so I agreed. And bam! We started dating and the whole school now refers to us as the 'hottest couple at Rose Walden High' courtesy of the PDA everyday at school.

What I like about Ariana is that she's cool about almost everything. Except rumors about her, of course. Who wouldn't get mad if somebody spreads a rumor about you saying that you've slept with half the school's male population? I doubt she has; she isn't that kind of person how much ever she appears to be.

Our 'relationship' - or whatever you want to call it - was something like a 'friends with benefits' kind of thing. She could date whoever she wants and I anyone I want. Secretly, of course. Anyone with the exception of Kaylee; the one girl whom I actually wanted to date.

Thinking about Ariana, I wonder where she was. She had left for the washroom twenty minutes ago and still hadn't returned. I frowned for a while, then shrugged it off. She can take care of herself.

"In that case.. I'll be looking forward to a scorgasm," Lara winked at me, "from you."

I lowered my head so our eyes were at the same level and spoke in the deepest voice I could muster, "Challenge-"

I was interrupeted by a pair of soft palms grazing my skin and covering my eyes.

"Guess who?" came a soft giggle from the owner of the hands. I chuckled as I pulled them away from my eyes and turned around to face her. Think about the devil and the devil appears. Except that in this case, it's a princess we're talking about. My Princess.

It felt like forever since I last saw Kaylee. Once again I felt that strange stirring in the pit of my stomach. That feeling I got whenever she's near me.

But this time she didn't look the same. Infact, she resembled most of the skanks who were grinding against Josh some time ago. This isn't Kaylee. She'd never get drunk.
