"Just come on!" Jayden said excitedly pulling me along. I new he had been planning something, I just didn't know what...

"Fine fine I'm coming!" I laughed. He opened his car door for me and after I got in he jogged to the driver's side to get in. He tossed a black piece of cloth at me. "What's this for?"

"Tie it around your eyes," he said. He seemed so excited that I didn't have it in me to argue. I reached up and put the cloth around my eyes, curious as to where he was taking me. I sat there for several minutes. I could feel the car moving, but I couldn't judge where we were going. Finally we stopped and I heard the car door opening. I reached up to the blindfold, but Jayden caught my hands.

"Not yet Princess," he said. He guided my out of the car and started walking me forward. He suddenly stopped me and said, "Ok."

I carefully lifted the blindfold off my eyes and gasped when I saw a beautiful, hidden beach. There were a couple people on it, but not many. The entrance was mostly covered by trees. "It's so pretty! But I don't have a swimsuit or anything..."

Jayden smiled and lifted a bag off his shoulder. I ran to the bathroom and changed then dashed out excited to swim. We swam for quite awhile and then Jay suggested building a sand castle. We got some buckets and started putting towers together. We got it pretty big and then I said, "Its fabulous. Probably the best sand castle ever built."

"Yeah... it needs something though. Like a decoration."

"Hmm like some seaweed?"

"Yeah! You wanna go get some?"

"Sure!" I ran off down the beach to the water in search of our final touch. "Aha!" I said to myself, snatching up a piece of seaweed. I jogged back to Jayden and our castle and tossed the seaweed at him, laughing. I plopped down in the sand to admire our sandcastle... and stopped breathing. "O-oh my god," I stuttered. On the very highest tower of our sandcastle, sat a beautiful ring.

Jayden picked it up carefully. "What this old thing? Do you like it?"

"D-do I like it? Jay-Jayden. It's beautiful!"

"That's good. Because I wasn't sure what your style was and I wanted to make sure I got it right... because hopefully you'll be wearing it for a long time. Wendy, I love you. I've told you before, but I want to tell you again and again for as long as we live. I don't ever want to be without you. You're my everything. I know we really haven't been dating for very long, but it's long enough for me to know that I want to be with you. I need to be with you. And I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, you might... well... Wendy, will you marry me?" he said, not rushing, but trying each word out carefully. He seemed so nervous... he had no need to be.

I felt tears filling my eyes. I didn't trust myself to speak, so I nodded vigorously.

"You will?"

"Yes. Yes!" I choked out. He pulled me into a hug and we fell to the ground laughing. He slipped the beautiful ring on my left ring finger and I admired it quietly. We sat there on the beach for a long time before we finally went back to my house.

Apparently Jayden had been planning on moving here anyways and Nina had just let him live with her and work at the studio until he found a good house and a good job. Now that we were together... well he now at least had a house. We decided to move his stuff in in a couple of days and then we could plan the wedding. I was so excited.

"Hey I promised Nina I would tell her how the proposal went, so I should go."

"Oh ok. But come back!"

He laughed and kissed me on the forehead before going out the door. I picked up my phone and dialed. It was only two rings before someone answered. "Hello?"

"Hey Mom, you'll never believe what happened!"
