My mom had been clutching onto me for about 10 minutes when I finally looked at the clock and realized I need to go so I could get ready for my date with Jayden. "Mom?" I said quietly. She didn't respond. "Mom?" I asked again, a little louder this time.
She pulled away. "Sorry Sweetie it's just been so long."
"I know. I'll come talk to you soon, but I've actually got to go..."
"You have plans?" She sounded surprised. I didn't blame her.
"Yeah I have a..." I blushed. "I have a date."
My mom's eyes widened and a grin spread across her face. She squealed like a teenager, throwing her hands in the air. "Ahh my baby has a dateeee!" She yelled.
"Mom," I muttered.
"Sorry," she laughed. "Alright we'll run along then! Have fun!"
I smiled at my mom and went to the door. It felt so good to just be there with my mom, but at the same time, I couldn't wait for my date...

I decided I wasn't satisfied with what I was wearing and went to my closet to change before Jayden got there. Really I was just trying to fill the time so I didn't get to nervous. By the time I decided on something my closet was empty. I groaned. I'd have to clean this all up later and I still wasn't feeling the best.
I didn't know what you were supposed to wear on a movie date. I finally settled on something casual, but cute; black leggings, a powder blue, off the shoulder shirt, and navy blue converse high tops. I looked in the mirror and was about to change my mind yet again, when the doorbell rang. Jayden was here.
I took a deep breath and almost forgot to breathe back out. I shook myself and walked toward the door. I swung it open before I could stop myself. I was going to do this. Jayden looked up and smiled at me, his hands in his pockets. I have a small smile back.
"Ready to go?" he asked. I just nodded, grabbed my purse and walked out the door. We drove to the movies in silence, but it was a comfortable silence. I smiled to myself. I wasn't sure why I was smiling but I couldn't help it. He parked and opened my door for me.
"Have you seen Guardians of the Galaxy 2 yet?" he asked excitedly as we walked through the door of the theater. I shook my head no. I was actually dying to see it, but I contained my excitement. (Guys I haven't actually even seen the first one but this just came out so I used it lol)
We walked in and he bought tickets. I tried to protest and say I could buy my own, but words wouldn't come out of my mouth. He bought popcorn and led me to some good seats. The movie started and I scooted up, anticipating the awesomeness that was sure to come. I saw Jayden look at me and smile out of the corner of my eye and I slid back into my seat.
Why was I so prone to embarrassing myself? He was probably trying to contain his laughter because I was such a joke. Halfway through the movie though I got confused... his hand inched into mine and I looked at him wide eyed, but his gaze stayed firmly planted on the movie. What was that? Wh-what? I mean, I didn't think people held hands with people they thought were a joke.
I looked back at the movie stiffly, but I couldn't focus. Talking made me nervous. Physical contact made me nervous. Was there anything that didn't make me nervous? I was started to think that maybe there wasn't. But... I kind of liked this kind of nervousness.
So so sorry I haven't posted in awhile!! 😬 I've been busy with school and soccer. Anyways I hope you liked this chapter and I'll be trying to update more often!! Don't forget to vote, comment, and follow me. Love❤️
