Trevor's POV:
Scrambling into my car I made it out of the bitter, cold, autumn wind. A small delicate package still cradled in my arms protecting it from the harsh environment outside. My leather jacket hugged close to me to warm me up and my tartan patten scarf wrapped around my neck to protect me from the bitter ice wind. I spectated out of my car window and watched the trees blow around ferociously loosing shedding their leaves, not my nature, but my force. Maybe this an alternative view of life. Of love. We grow older and gain new people, love them and then one day they are taken away from us when we least expect it. They are taken away and you can do nothing about it. I examined the the small package that was sat on my lap. My world in one box. "Lets go home" I whispered to myself, carefully placing the package on the passenger seat and strapping myself in, I checked the road was clear and slowly began to pull away and join the rest of the drivers on the road. By home I don't generally mean a house with a roof and garage that you may find a family in and hold photographs of yourself and family. But the word home can be interpreted into something more with meaning. Everyone taught me as I grew up 'your home is where your heart is' I never really understood it until now. I took it for granted and never really thought about it too greatly. But now I wish I had sooner. So here I am now on my journey back home. All of my major life events took place at this very spot I call home. Thats probably why it is home. My first time visiting this very place I was 6 years old, when I broke my leg.
Flashback:
"Trev! Get back here!" My brothers Nathan and Steven shouted at me. We created a game where there were knights and the enemies. I was a knight, my aim is to protect the ruins that lay on top of the green coated mound. My brothers and their friends Lee and Mark were the enemies trying to invade my castle. We ran around with sticks under our arms pretending that they are guns shouting each other down. Of course I missed all their shots. I am knight in stealth mode. I hid behind a tall tower being cautious of who was around me. "Got you!" a scream came from Mark as he pointed his stick to my face. I swiftly ran around him and began to run around the broken ruins. Oblivious to the obstacles that lay ahead of me I tripped on a tree root landing with great force on my leg. Following my fall I rolled down the hill, tasting the sweet perfume of the mountain grass. I came to an abrupt stop at the bottom where my vision was hazy. A small figure was located in the distance. The sunlight beaming on the petite girl. My vision started to become clearer as the girl started to move towards me. Closing my eyes for a brief second to open to a beautiful sight. 'Shes an angel' I though to myself. I was sure I was seeing imaginary figures because she was beautiful. "Are you okay?" the angelic voice spoke. It was only then I came back down to Earth and realised what had happened. The pain in my leg was agonising and a headache was beginning to develop. "Erm... no not exactly, I think I've broke my leg," I stuttered to the young girl. "Is your mom or dad about?" she questioned "They are here but back at the picnic area my brothers and his friends are somewhere," I replied. Just as I mentioned my brother, Lee and Mark they appeared over the hill top looking for me and as soon as they found me they rushed down to my side. "You okay Trev?" Nathan, my older brother questioned. "No I think I've broke my leg, I need mom and dad." I winced. The pain was getting worse by the minute but the young girl still sat by my side. I looked up and caught Lee staring as the young female by my side. Typically. The ladies man of the group. I sighed and shook my head looking at the petite girl, "Whats your name?" I asked "Brittany, Brittany Raymond." She stated. "Well thank you Brittany for finding me today and helping me out, Im Trevor by the way." Sticking my hand out for her to shake. A small giggle left her lips as she violently shook my hand. "Britt! Where are you?" a small voice called in the distance called in the distance. "I better go, Sam's calling. Maybe we will see each other again?" She asked shyly "Oh for sure" I smiled at her. As we said our goodbyes and she left into the near by park my mom and dad appeared at my side inspecting my damage.
