4 1 1

I have arrived home. Apparently I was out for a whole day. Or so Adrian tells me. I have so much to tell you guys. I believe I left off just as I was heading to the..... I don't even know what to call it. The jock called it a play area, Adrian's twin (Yea, I know, I finally met the guy) called it a torture room, Adrian himself called it a living Hell. So many iterations of the place and my head is pounding too much to come up with a name for it so i'll just call it what it was, a warehouse.

Anyways. I was sprinting out my door and into my lawn when I heard a ruffle of leaves. I turn towards the noise before being blasted basically into the next zip code. At least that was what it felt like. After landing (very roughly might I add) I checked my body for that telltale feeling of freezing skin but saw that there was not any. I had an inkling of who might have pushed me this far and a quick scent check told me that the intruder was a wolf.

I didn't have any more then 3 seconds to register this in my mind before that same wolf pounces on top of me. He grips my neck frighteningly tightly and I let him. He is way too pissed off to deal with. I need him calm and I don't think retaliating would really encourage him to listen to what I have to say.

"I have a few questions for you." I would think so. Apparently he and his brother are close.

"Well hello. You must be Adrian's brother. Nice to meet you too." I manage to get out in gasping breaths.

"Yes, I am. He is also the reason why I'm here. As far as I know, you are the only thing in town that can manage against our kind. Now I haven't seen him in the past 24 hours and I would like to know why."

"Well, I will gladly tell you where he is under a few conditions. First of all I'd like to be on my own two feet without someone choking the life out of me." He lets go of me and stands far enough away to let me up off the ground. "Talk"

I step away a little. "He has been taken by something that you are gonna think are a myth. I know his location and am going to pick him up right now and was just thinking to myself that I was gonna need some help." I look at him expectingly.

"And where might his location be and why do you need help against my brother's kidnapper?"

"He is in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city and I need help for two reasons. First off, your brother is a wolf and anything that can get the jump on him and take him hostage and keep him there for a whole day is someone to be reckoned. Let alone that, he has gotten the jump on me multiple times as well."

"OK, and what is the second reason?"

   "There are three of them."

"Hmm. You do need help and I will provide that. Now lets get going before anything happens to him shall we?"

"I was thinking the same thing." I extended my hand to him. "Names Mason, what's yours?"

He looks at my hand and walks past it. As he does so he tells me this. "You have not earned that yet." Well then, I can see why Adrian wanted us to be separate.

We headed towards the warehouse and stayed back about 20 miles down the road to come up with a plan of attack. The plan was simple. I head in through the front door and try to get Adrian out quickly. If at any point he sees that I have faced difficulties, he is to come in through a backdoor that we spotted and give him a small benefit in the form of surprise with his first attack. The plan fell apart so terribly so quickly.

I had gone in through the front door as planned and was greeted with a mine field of bear traps. On top of that, there was blood splotches in many areas. I found Adrian's wolf scent in a side room past the bear traps. To put the area into perspective, I am on one end of a field about 100 yards away from the backdoor that the guy is supposed to use. That is on my left, to my right another 80 yards is the room I need to get to. The room I am in has extremely high ceilings. The room I am getting to is almost like a separate building inside of the one I am in with substantially lower, flat, roofing. While i'm in the topic of roofing, I need to point out that every support beam, pillar, and tile looks to be rusted to hell. This building is abandoned for a reason.
