Uhmmm!!
Whats on my mind today?
This morning I woke up with the word Swing in my head,
Lets see what it means;
Swing; move or cause to move back and forth or from side to side while suspended or on an axil (google dictionary) or
To have open promiscuity with a select group of partners.( www.urbandictionary.com)
Yes this word has two meanings to it, and yes I have put them both down, but I will only be looking at the 1st meaning, as I do not have any interests or desires to explore the 2nd option, but each to their own.
Swings are an old time favourite. How wonderful it is to be suspended in the air, with a seat that carries you back and forth, feeling the wind rush past you. As little kids, and we still do this, we put our children on this marvelous invention to help relax them and give them the sense of some freedom. A sense of excitement, and at the same time to feel safe enough to let go.
It's always been a favourite at the playgrounds. Everyone queing up to have a go. My favourite memory was, when I put up two swings in my backyard and I would swing my kids and sing to them. Yes I do sing. Made up my own words to my songs( just like my posts) whatever came to my head, it was turned into a song.( it was even more funnier, when after a few days, my kids wanted me to sing that song again) with no words written, and done in ad-lib, pretty challenging.
You see the best memories are the ones we make, on the spare of the moment.
My kids still remember and still talk about the time on our swings.
