Upbeat music pumped through a stereo while a blonde girl with a ponytail, wearing only a pink bra and a pair of jeans applied makeup to her face. A boy lay on her bed watching her and Margo sat in a desk chair, gently spinning the chair to show her boredom.

"Are you excited? Nervous?" the boy smiled.

"You didn't mention the most important word, Kev," Margo smirked."I think the word that Betty is looking for is 'horny'." Betty got up from her makeup table and and lightly slapped the side of Margo's head.

"Both," Betty smiled at Kevin. "I haven't seen him all summer."

"But she's sure thought about him," Margo coughed into her arm. Archie Andrews was Betty's 'boy next door'. He was the boy who she was crushing on for as long as her and Margo's friendship ran and it wasn't stopping soon. From a young age, Betty had been, unfortunately, permanently friend zoned. It wasn't a conscious choice of Archie's to do this, but it happened and Betty hadn't said anything against it. It was because her friendship with Betty that Margo was rather close with Archie.

"If this wasn't the happiest I've seen you all summer, Kevin and I would be burying you right now," Betty glared at her, but a smile played along her lips. "Anyway, anything special happen to you while I was gone?" The summer flashed before Margo's eyes. It was a mix of screaming and Netflix, but one time did stand out.

It took Jughead and Margo an hour to get home. It was an hour of silence, not necessarily awkward silence, but not a comfortable silence. There were no interactions until they reached Margo's house, she didn't know where he lived, but she believed that he purposely came with her. It was when she turned up her driveway when he finally spoke.

"Will you be okay?" She started to respond, but he stopped her. "Not as in you emotionally, but you with him." He nodded towards the house.

"I'll be fine. I've had to deal with him before." Without any other conversation, Margo went inside. It was true that she dealt with her father, endured some yelling, yelled back a little, and eventually settled it, but she was grateful for Jughead's support. They didn't talk afterwards, didn't even make contact. At that point, Margo was sure that Jughead had forgotten about her all together.

"Well?" Betty glanced at Margo with raised eyebrows, bringing her back into the present.

"Nothing happened," she said.

"That is totally true, I know that because of the long, awkward pause." Margo flipped Kevin off, and turned back to Betty.

"Why the hell are you nervous, you like him, he likes you, you've just got to go for it and this could turn into a Taylor Swift song."

"Aren't all Taylor Swift songs about breakups?" Betty asked and Margo nervously laughed.

"Uh, no?"
