The moment Margo woke up, the day was weird. She was in a bed which wasn't her's, and the alarm was ringing when it was still dark out, which meant it was morning and she'd slept all day, or someone set a very strange alarm.

It took her a few moments to realize that she wasn't in her room, or even her house. It was Betty's bed and her pink room. She sat up, feeling more rested than she had in a while. She sat up, just in time for Betty, who was previously out of the room, to enter.

"Good morning, Margs."

"Morning?" She croaked, as her voice was still hoarse from sleep.

"You slept all day, so yes. It's the morning. I swung by your house and got your school stuff and an outfit. Mitch looked like he was in a fight, do you know who it was with? Colleges won't like if he's fighting." Betty was too cheerful for Margo in the morning, but she was relived that Betty didn't connect the dots. There was no doubt that whatever injuries Mitch sustained were from Wilson, and Margo would be screwed if Betty ever found out how Wilson treated his children. She would probably call Social Services, and both Margo and Mitch would be removed from Wilson's custody. This would be good, but Margo didn't want anything that might bother any record of hers. The only thing that was motivating her was the thought that in three years, she would be getting out of Riverdale.

Betty left after a few more attempts at conversations, until it was made clear that Margo was too tired to do anything. As soon as she was out of the room, Margo pulled off her pajamas and scrambled into the clothes that Betty got her. The unfortunately short sleeve shirt reveled the dark bruising which looked like a hand gripped it.

The door handle turned and fear raced through Margo. She grabbed her jacket and hurriedly pulled it on in time for Betty to come in.

"There's breakfast downstairs. You should go because my parents want to talk to me. Who knows about what." She nodded at her friend's comment and head down the stairs to where an array of food lay out. Her stomach gave a helpful grumble, as if she didn't already know that she was hungry, as she missed a day of meals, so she dug in. It wasn't until later did Betty come down with a superficial smile fixated on her face.

As soon as the two were out the door, Betty's face relaxed into her normal smile and Margo was surprised when she followed her to Archie's house.

"You're forgiving this idiot?" Margo asked.

"Yeah. He didn't like me in that way, so what? I can't force it upon him." Without being able to find a loophole in her logic, Margo shrugged and the two went to his door.

When he answered to see the two standing there, he was understandably confused. Betty hadn't spoken to him all weekend and he believed that she would never talk to him again. He was also probably confused because Margo was there, as she lived a decent while away.

"Walk us to school?" Betty asked with a cheerful tone.

"Uh, yeah. Sure. Let me grab my bag." He ran inside and grabbed his backpack and was back in a moment. "Why are you okay with walking with me?" he asked after a few minutes of silence and Betty sighed.
