It was storming the night of the pep rally. Margo sat alone on the bleachers, as Veronica was with the cheerleaders and Archie was with the football players. Her bag was by her feet, because she had agreed to go home that night. She had gotten by with wearing a variation of the outfit she had on when she went to Veronica's house and Veronica's clothes which she had borrowed.

The band was playing and the cheerleaders were running around with pompoms. There were some football players about and Margo could see Archie talking to Ms. Grundy. Her attention wasn't stuck on him because David Cohen, who was in the stuffy mascot costume tried to do the worm and he failed miserably. She nibbled on her lip, waiting for the pep rally to start. She was nervous to see how Wilson would react when she got home.

She told Veronica about why she couldn't go home, and she was very sympathetic. She even agreed to go home with Margo and bring pepper spray incase Wilson got out of hand.

She had spoken to Mitch and told him that she was going home. While he was initially against it, but had folded when she said she was going with her friends as backup. Margo knew that he was still against her going back, but he understood that she needed to.

"Now to kickoff this pep rally, I'd like to hand it over to our very own Mayor McCoy." Principal Weatherbee said once they had quieted down. Margo's clothes were soaking and her hair was a mess, but she sat, watching with rapt attention.

"Hey, can I sit?" Margo looked over to see Jughead holding two hotdogs.

"Can I get one?" she asked.

"This one is for you," he said with a small smile while handing her the hotdog she was eyeing.

"You can sit there whenever you want," she said with a grin.

"Thank you Principal Weatherbee," the mayor said, standing on the stage with an umbrella. "It is heartening to see so many of you here, even in weather like this. But a lack of heart and school spirit had never been the Riverdale way. Tonight's pep rally isn't like any other we've had in the past. And we shouldn't pretend that it is. Which is why I would like to dedicate this evening to the memory of one of on of our brightest. Jason Blossom. We're with him tonight. Now please, join me in welcoming to the field our very own River Vixens, and their special guest stars, my daughter Josie and her Pussycats!"

The cheerleaders danced as Josie, Valerie, and Melody sang played music which sounded like it came from their souls. It was beautiful, and Margo thought about it while devouring her hotdog. She could see Veronica dancing with the cheerleader, showing a routine which was well practiced. When it was done, the crowd roared with cheers and Cheryl and Josie embraced.

"All right, y'all ready?" Coach Clayton asked. "Let's make some noise and put our hands together for the Riverdale Bulldogs!" Everyone clapped as the football team broke through the banner which the cheerleaders held proudly.
