"Stefan!! Kat!!"Caroline yelled "We need to go, if we still want to arrive in Mystic Falls today...".

Today was a sad and a happy day, it was hard to decide what it was... It was Elena's birthday. You would think, that's a happy thing..right? Well, Elena died 45 years ago... she died shortly after Damon died. Caroline, Stefan and Katherine still go back to Mystic Falls every year for those special dates. Yes, Katherine as well. Katherine kinda became friends with everyone, even with Elena over the years. It took a while to forgive, but to everyones surprise it worked out.

Caroline, Stefan and Katherine travelled around the world. They had been to many different places, the place they were now in was not very far from Mystic Falls. Luckily, it was still pretty early so there was plenty of time to make it the same day to their destination.

"Care, Kat...I don't feel very good." Stefan said out of nowhere.

"Well, suck it up Stefan. We have to leave." Katherine replied. She still had her rude moments...it's not because they are friends with her now that she had changed...they just accepted her.

"What's wrong?" Caroline asked kindly. Caroline worried a lot about her two friends..They basically only had eachother left. Caroline had of course made friends over a century, but they never stayed...Katherine and Stefan did. They always sticked together.

"No, it's fine. Kat is right, we have to leave if we want to make it in time.." Stefan answered. Caroline gave her friend a skeptical look. "Are you sure? You don't look fine." She said.

"Thanks? It's okay Care..Come on let's go!" Stefan said trying to sound excited but he was failing miserably. Caroline eventually agreed and decided to let it go. She wasn't in the mood get mad at her friends and they needed to leave.

All three of them took their suitcase and left their mansion that they had compelled for the time being there. They were now used to compelling things to favor them, something Stefan and Caroline didn't used to do. They had learned a lot from Katherine, but Katherine also changed for the good because of them. Together they were the perfect group, they kept each other in balance.

They got inside the cab that was already waiting a couple minutes outside.

"To Mystic Falls, is that right?" the driver asked.

"Yes, that's right!" Katherine answered.

This was going to be a long drive. Caroline fell asleep instantly along with Stefan. Katherine couldn't fall asleep. She was bored out of her head so she decided to make a conversation with the driver.

"Hey!"

"Are you talking to me?" he asked giving her a look through the car mirror.

"Who else?"Katherine snapped annoyed since he was the only person awake in the car besides her.

The driver didn't reply to her snarky comment.

"So what's your name?" Katherine asked now politly.

"It's Cedric, miss ...?." The driver indicated for her to tell him her name.

"miss Pierce, but just call me Katherine..." she said with a devious smile on her face.

He smirked "if I may ask...why would a pretty lady like you, go to a small town like Mystic Falls?" he asked interested.

"I have some business there.." Katherine replied. She didn't want to say that she was there to visit her dead friends, that wasn't something she would say to someone she had just met.

"Business..."he raised his eyebrows as he looked trough the mirror so he could look at her "I guess that's everything I will get out of you" he smiled.

"for now" he mumbled under his breath so low that even Katherine couldn't hear it.
